The 1984 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XIV Olympic Winter Games and commonly known as Sarajevo 1984, was a winter multi-sport event held between 8 and 19 February 1984 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia. It was the first Winter Olympic Games held in a socialist state and in a Slavic language-speaking country. It was the second consecutive Olympic Games to be held in a socialist state and in a Slavic language-speaking country, after the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, Soviet Union. It was also the first Olympics to take place in the Balkans since the first Olympic Games in Athens.
The 1920 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the VII Olympiad and commonly known as Antwerp 1920, were an international multi-sport event held in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium.
The Olympisch Stadion or Kielstadion[ˈkilstaːdijɔn]) was built as the main stadium for the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. For those games, it hosted the athletics, equestrian, field hockey, football, gymnastics, modern pentathlon, rugby union, tug of war, weightlifting and korfball (demonstration) events. Following the Olympics it was converted to a football stadium. Its current tenant is K Beerschot VA, a Belgian football club. There are no remnants of the Olympic athletics track.
Taitusi "Deuce" Lutui is a Tongan-born former American football player who was a guard in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons. He played college football for the University of Southern California (USC), and received consensus All-American honors. He was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft, and also played for the NFL's Tennessee Titans. One of several Tongans who have played in the NFL, he is a cousin of Vai Sikahema, the first Tongan ever to play in the NFL.

The highest number of Djiboutian athletes participating in a summer Games is eight in the 1992 games in Barcelona, Spain. Only one Djiboutian athlete has ever won a medal at the Olympics, marathon runner Hussein Ahmed Salah, who won a bronze medal in the 1988 marathon.

Elone was a town of Perrhaebia in ancient Thessaly. It is among the towns listed in the Catalogue of Ships in the Iliad by Homer along with Orthe and Oloosson. According to Strabo, the town was afterwards called Leimone (Λειμώνη). The same writer says that it was in ruins in his time, and that it lay at the foot of Mount Olympus, not far from the river Eurotas, which the poet calls Titaresius.
The men's light middleweight event was part of the boxing programme at the 1984 Summer Olympics. The weight class allowed boxers of up to 71 kilograms to compete. The competition was held from 29 July to 11 August 1984. 34 boxers from 34 nations competed.
