The Embassy of India in Belgrade is the diplomatic mission of India to Serbia. [1] The ambassador is Sanjiv Kohli. [2] India has not yet recognised the territory of Kosovo, and instead regards the territory to be "an integral part of Serbia" and serves its jurisdiction. [3] [4]

Diplomatic mission Group of people from one state present in another state to represent the sending state

A diplomatic mission or foreign mission is a group of people from a state or organization present in another state to represent the sending state or organization officially in the receiving or host state. In practice, the phrase usually denotes an embassy, which is the main office of a country's diplomatic representatives to another country; it is usually, but not necessarily, based in the receiving state's capital city. Consulates, on the other hand, are smaller diplomatic missions that are normally located in major cities of the receiving state. Foreign relations of Serbia are accomplished by efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Serbia has inherited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with all of its holdings, after the dissolution of the previous state union with Montenegro. Serbian foreign ministries continue to serve citizens of Montenegro in countries that do not have Montenegrin diplomatic presence. The governments of Serbia and Montenegro expressed an interest in pursuing a common foreign policy. Former President of Serbia Boris Tadić referred to relations with the European Union (EU), Russia, United States and China as the four pillars of foreign policy. Serbia joined the United Nations on 1 November 2000.

Foreign relations of Kosovo are accomplished by efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo. Kosovo operates 33 embassies abroad and is host to 22 embassies in Pristina. Kosovo has membership in several international organisations.

Australia–Kosovo relations Bilateral relations

Australia–Kosovo relations refer to the bilateral relations of Australia and Kosovo. Kosovo and Australia officially established diplomatic relations on 21 May 2008. Kosovo has an embassy in Canberra, which was opened in February 2013. The Ambassador of Australia to Kosovo is subordinate to the embassy in Vienna.

Israel–Serbia relations Bilateral relations

The diplomatic relations between Israel and Serbia were established on January 31, 1992, when Serbia was part of FR Yugoslavia. Israel has an embassy in Belgrade and Serbia had an embassy in Tel Aviv. Yugoslavia was the second country in Europe to recognize Israel in 1948. The two countries have economic and cultural ties, helped by a sizable community of Jews from the former Yugoslavia in Israel. Serbia agreed to move its embassy to Jerusalem on 4 September 2020 but decided not to after Israeli recognition of Kosovo as a sovereign state.

Serbia–United Kingdom relations Bilateral relations

British – Serbian relations are foreign relations between the United Kingdom and Serbia. Both countries established diplomatic relations in 1837. The UK has an embassy and consulate in Belgrade and Serbia has an embassy in London. The Serbian ambassador to the United Kingdom is Dr Dejan Popovic and the British ambassador to Serbia is Sian MacLeod.

Mexico–Serbia relations Bilateral relations

Mexico–Serbia relations refers to the diplomatic relations between Mexico and Serbia. Both nations were founding members of the Group of 77 and the United Nations.

Israel–Kosovo relations Bilateral relations

Israel–Kosovo relations refer to bilateral relations between Israel and Kosovo. Kosovo declared its independence from Serbia on 17 February 2008. Israel and Kosovo agreed on 4 September 2020, as part of negotiations for the Kosovo and Serbia Economic Normalization agreements, to mutually recognize each other. It was initially reported that the mutual recognition had not yet gone into effect at that point, and Israel's recognition of Kosovo was expected to be formally declared "in the coming weeks". However on 21 September the ambassador of Israel to Serbia, Yahel Vilan, confirmed that Israel had indeed recognized Kosovo on September 4, 2020. The two countries established diplomatic relations on February 1, 2021. On March 14, 2021 Kosovo officially opened its Embassy in Jerusalem.

Palestine–Serbia relations Bilateral relations

The Palestinian–Serbian relations are bilateral relations between the State of Palestine and the Republic of Serbia. Relations between Serbia and Palestine have been very close and friendly. Even though Serbia had reestablished relations with Israel in 1991, its relations with Palestine still remain excellent.

The Embassy of India in Kyiv is a diplomatic mission of the Republic of India to Ukraine. Partha Satpathy is the current Ambassador of India to Ukraine. Embassy serves Ukraine region. India stands a balanced position on Crimea; althought it recognises the annexation by Russia but it would serve the region under Ukrainian jurisdiction.

The Embassy of the United Kingdom in Belgrade is the chief diplomatic mission of the United Kingdom in Serbia.

The Embassy of India in Ljubljana is the diplomatic mission of India to Slovenia. The current ambassador is Namrata S. Kumar.
