Embraze is a metal band from Kiiminki, Finland. Their music could be described as a combination of traditional metal and dark/gothic elements. The band's last album The Last Embrace was released on 16 August 2006.

After fifteen years, the band called it quits on the May Day 2009 on their final gig in Oulu, Finland. [1]

The band reunited in 2019 and announced several live shows. [2]

Catamenia is a Finnish black metal band founded in 1995 by Riku Hopeakoski and Mika Tönning in Oulu. They have been signed to Massacre Records since their first full-length release Halls of Frozen North in 1998. As of 2010, they have released nine albums, one EP, and one DVD. They are known for frequent usage of wolves in their album art, but the band is named after a kind of bird. Catamenia also means “menstruation”, which the band did not know until a fan pointed it out to them after the release of their debut album.

William Rocky Gray is a drummer and guitarist who has been part of the Arkansas metal scene since the early 1990s. He has an extensive career as a musician and is best known as the lead guitarist for Living Sacrifice and Solus Deus, and the drummer for We Are the Fallen. He also plays drums for Soul Embraced, Mourningside, and Machina, and is the former drummer for Evanescence. Gray is also currently creating a solo album titled Accursed.

Jesper Strömblad Swedish musician

Clas Håkan Jesper Strömblad is a Swedish musician who is the guitarist of the bands Dimension Zero and Cyhra, formerly In Flames and The Resistance. He is best known as founder and former guitarist/drummer/keyboardist of the Swedish pioneering melodic death metal band In Flames, guitarist of the band Sinergy, bassist of Ceremonial Oath and drummer of HammerFall. In 2013 he joined MDM band Nightrage as a session guitarist.

Silentium is a Finnish gothic metal band. The band was formed in 1995 and it originates from Jämsänkoski, Finland. Keyboardist Sami Boman and original vocalist Matti Aikio created Silentium by adding violin player Jani Laaksonen, guitar players Toni Lahtinen and Juha Lehtioksa and drummer Jari Ojala into the line-up of their previous band Funeral.

To/Die/For were a gothic metal band from the town of Kouvola in southeast of Finland, assembled in 1993 as a hard rock band under the name Mary-Ann. In 1999, they decided to change their musical style to gothic metal, changing their band name as well. The band disbanded on 13 April 2009, but has reformed as of 4 July 2009, and played their final concert at John Smith Festival in Finland on June 22, 2016.

Xentrix band

Xentrix are an English thrash metal band from Preston, Lancashire, England. Formed in 1984 under the name Sweet Vengeance, Xentrix were one of the leading lights of the British thrash metal movement. They had music videos for their cover of Ray Parker Jr.'s "Ghostbusters" as well as the songs "Crimes", "For Whose Advantage?" and "The Order of Chaos", which all had regular air time on Headbangers Ball. Although Xentrix never gained global notoriety, they had many underground performances with audiences of over 2,000 to 5,000 people in attendance. By 2006, the band had sold over 500,000 records worldwide. To date, Xentrix, who have broken up and reunited twice, have released five studio albums: Shattered Existence (1989), For Whose Advantage? (1990), Kin (1992), Scourge (1996) and Bury the Pain (2019).

Suburban Tribe was a rock band from Finland. The band is notable for containing the members of two of Finland's greatest thrash metal bands, Stone and Airdash. Bassist Janne Joutsenniemi played in the band Stone and guitarist Roope Siren played in Airdash. In the beginning, the band's name was typed Sub-Urban Tribe, but it was changed to its present shape after a short break in 2001. The band got some publicity from TV-series Big Brother. Their song "While The World Awaits" was played as theme song in season 2006. It was announced in March 2011 that the band has decided to disband.

Shade Empire is a Finnish symphonic black metal band, formed in 1999 in the city of Kuopio.

Morphia was a Dutch symphonic death/doom metal band formed in 1995. Having performed concerts with groups such as After Forever, Epica, Autumn, Orphanage and Imperia, Morphia has established themselves as one of the more prominent symphonic doom metal bands in the Netherlands. Signed to Dutch Fear Dark Records, Morphia has released 3 studio albums, musically evolving from death metal to gothic doom over the years. The band name comes from morphine, a medical drug used to relieve pain, but it is also a reference to Morpheus, the principal god of dreams in the Greek mythology.

Lauri Tuohimaa is a musician from Oulu, Finland. He played guitar in Charon (2003-2011), For My Pain... (1999-2004) and Embraze (1994–2009), in which he was also the lead vocalist. Lauri first played in a band called Maple Cross before forming Embraze with drummer Ilkka Leskelä, Petri Hennell and Mikko Aaltonen under the name Embrace. His influences include Pantera and CMX.

Insomnium is a melodic death metal band from Joensuu, Finland. The sound and lyrical themes of their music portray darkness, sorrow, loss, pain, and nature. They are primarily a melodic death metal band with occasional elements of doom metal and progressive metal.

Battle Beast (band) Finnish band

Battle Beast is a Finnish heavy metal / power metal band established in Helsinki in 2005. The initial line-up consisted of guitarists, Juuso Soinio and Anton Kabanen, and drummer Pyry Vikki, who were high school friends. The rest of the original lineup, bassist Eero Sipilä, keytarist Janne Björkroth, and lead singer Nitte Valo, joined the band after auditions.
