Emerson Floyd Martin (born May 6, 1970) is a retired American football player who played two game with the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL) during the team's expansion year of 1995.

Martin was signed by the Panthers in January 1995. [1] Martin played at guard for two games in 1995, earning one start. He was released in October 1995. [2] Martin later played with the Mobile Admirals in the short-lived Regional Football League in 1999. [3]

After his playing career, Martin moved into coaching, landing his first job with the AFL Carolina Cobras. Emerson later moved into college football where he is well-known for coaching offensive and defensive linemen.[ citation needed ] Martin is known for his dynamic recruiting abilities,[ citation needed ] believes in recruiting athletes he can develop into rising stars, and building relationships with alumni, boosters, and parents. Many of the nation's top college programs recruit athletes from Emerson program Players 2 Pros, LLC.[ citation needed ] Martin has developed and placed several athletes in Division 1 (FBS), Division 1 (FCS) and Division II.

Martin had built a well-respected program[ citation needed ] at Village Christian Academy in Fayetteville, North Carolina, before the program was shut down due to accusations of recruiting by the institution. Martin built a championship program in two years at the private institution leading the program to two straight state championship appearances back to back. After Emerson was terminated from Village Christian he later went to the Indianapolis Colts as a Bill Walsh intern.

Alan Glenn Haller is an American college athletic administrator and former football player. He is the athletic director at Michigan State University, a position he has held since September 2021. Haller played professionally as a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL) with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers. He was selected in the fifth round of the 1992 NFL Draft by the Steelers. He played his first three games in the NFL with the Steelers before he was released and signed with the Cleveland Browns, where he played another three games. He returned to the Steelers in 1993 and joined the expansion Carolina Panthers in 1995 before retiring after the 1995 season. In his professional career, Haller played only 12 games in three seasons, earning no starts and no statistics. Though he was a defensive back, Haller played mostly as a special teams player.

The 2013 North Carolina Tar Heels football team represented the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a member of Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) during the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was led by second-year head coach Larry Fedora and played their home games at Kenan Memorial Stadium. The Tar Heels finished the season 7–6 overall and 4–4 in ACC play to place fifth in the Coastal Division. They were invited to the Belk Bowl, where they defeated Cincinnati.

The 2023 North Carolina Tar Heels football team will represent the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Tar Heels will be led by head coach Mack Brown, who is in the fifth season of his second stint at North Carolina and 15th overall season at the university. The team will play their home games at Kenan Memorial Stadium.
