Emily Mannix (born 16 April 1994) is an Australian netball player in the Suncorp Super Netball league, playing for the Melbourne Vixens.

Early life

Mannix attended Geelong Grammar School on a sports scholarship [3] and played netball for Drysdale in her junior years. [4]

Career

Originally from Geelong, Mannix made her debut for the Melbourne Vixens in 2015, working as a defensive understudy to Bianca Chatfield and Geva Mentor. [5] She won the club Coaches Award in 2016 and was runner up in the club MVP in 2017, a run of form which culminated that year in her debut for the national team. She was selected in the Australian Diamonds squad for the 2018/19 international season. [6]

Simone McKinnis is a former Australia netball international and the current head coach of Melbourne Vixens in Suncorp Super Netball. As a player she was a member of the Australia teams that won gold medals at the 1991 and 1995 World Netball Championships, the 1993 World Games and the 1998 Commonwealth Games. She also captained the Melbourne Phoenix team that won the 1997 Commonwealth Bank Trophy. She was head coach when Vixens won the 2014 ANZ Championship and the 2020 Suncorp Super Netball titles. In 1992, McKinnis was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia and in 2010 was inducted into the Australian Netball Hall of Fame.

Elizabeth Watson, commonly known as Liz Watson, is an Australia netball international. Watson was a member of the Australia teams that won the silver medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and at the 2019 Netball World Cup. In 2018 she received the Liz Ellis Diamond award. She captained Australia during the 2021 Constellation Cup. Since 2014, Watson has played for Melbourne Vixens, initially in the ANZ Championship and later in Suncorp Super Netball. She was a member of the Vixens' teams that won premierships in 2014 and 2020.

Kadie-Ann Dehaney is a Jamaican netball player who plays for the Melbourne Vixens in the Suncorp Super Netball league. She has also represented the Jamaica national netball team.

Joanna Weston is an Australian netball player for the Melbourne Vixens in the Suncorp Super Netball league. She was part of the Australian squad that won silver at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and was selected in the Australian Diamonds squad for the 2018/19 international season.

Kate Moloney is an Australian netballer who plays for the Melbourne Vixens in the Suncorp Super Netball league. As of April 2017, she is the captain of the Vixens. Moloney made her domestic league netball debut for the Vixens in 2013 and was appointed captain of the team four years later. She made her debut for the Australia national netball team in 2017 and has represented her country on ten occasions, going on to be selected in the Australian Diamonds squad for the 2018/19 international season.

2020 Suncorp Super Netball season Sports season

The 2020 Suncorp Super Netball season was the fourth season of the premier netball league in Australia. The season was originally scheduled to commence on 2 May, though was delayed to 1 August due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The defending premiers, New South Wales Swifts were eliminated in the first week of the finals series by the eventual runners-up West Coast Fever. The premiers were the Melbourne Vixens, who defeated the Fever by two goals in the Grand Final at Nissan Arena in Brisbane.
