Emircan Haney (born 1 January 2001) is a Turkish male compound archer [1] and part of the national team.
In 2022, Emircan Haney won the gold medal in the men's team compound event at the European Archery Championships held in Munich, Germany. [2] He also won the silver medal in the mixed Team event. Completing the podium were the Turkish pair Yesim Bostan and Emircan Haney, who defeated Belgium's Sarah Prieels and Quinten van Looy 156–155. [3] He won the silver medal in the men's team compound event at the Laško, Slovenia event in the 2022 European Indoor Archery Championships. [4]
At the 3rd European Games held at the Plaszowianka Archery Park in Kraków, Poland, he defeated his French rival Nicolas Girard 147–141 in the quarter-finals of the men's individual competition of the roller bow and advanced to the semi-finals. He was defeated by Jozef Bosansky of Slovakia 147–145 in the semifinals. He faced Lukasz Przybylski of Poland in the third place match. He defeated his opponent 149-146 and won the bronze medal. [5]
Taha Akgül is an Olympic, World, and European champion Turkish freestyle wrestler competing in the 125 kg division. He is a 3 time world and 11 time European champion. He won the gold medal in the 2016 Summer Olympics and the bronze medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics at 125 kg. He has been the president of the Athlete Commission of the Turkish National Olympic Committee since 2016. He is a graduate of the Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Physical Education and Sports Academy and completed his master's degree at Sivas Cumhuriyet University.
Mike Schloesser is a compound archer from the Netherlands. In 2015, he was the first person to hit a perfect 600/600, hence his nickname Mister Perfect. In December 2023 he surpassed Sara López as the longest-tenured world number one. Both had been in the top three since the beginning of the 2015 season. Schloesser had been holding the number one position in the world ranking since 24 May 2021. In March 2024 he broke the record for the longest consecutive days ranked number one.

In an intense final, he triumphed over the skilled Canadian archer Eric Peters, securing his place as the first Turkish archer to achieve the esteemed recurve gold medal in a World Championship.
