Emma Jane Nedov (born 11 March 1996 in Sydney) is an Australian artistic gymnast who competed at the 2014 and 2018 World Championships. [3] She represented Australia at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Emma Jane Nedov was born on 11 March 1996 in Sydney. She began gymnastics when she was six years old at Epping YMCA. [4] In 2004, Nedov developed a virus that caused "severe neck pain, headaches, and constant aching muscle pain" which forced her to temporarily quit gymnastics, but she recovered after four weeks of treatment. [5]
Nedov competed at her first Junior National Championships in 2010 where she won a silver on beam and a bronze with her team. [4] At the 2011 Junior National Championships, Nedov won gold on uneven bars and balance beam, and she won bronze in the all-around and on floor exercise. [4] The 2011 season was also successful for Nedov internationally; she won the all-around at a friendly meet against Great Britain. [4] She also won gold at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games on balance beam. [6]
Nedov became age-eligible for senior elite in 2012, but she missed the season due to injury. [4] She returned at the 2013 National Championships and won the gold medal on balance beam. [4] She made her senior international debut at the 2013 Dityatin Cup in St. Petersburg where she won the silver on balance beam behind Ekaterina Kramarenko and finished seventh on floor exercise. [7]
Nedov began the 2014 season at the WOGA Classic where she finished ninth on balance beam. [8] At the National Championships, Nedov won a silver on balance beam and finished fifth in the all-around and on vault. [4] Nedov was selected to compete for Australia at the World Championships. [9] In the qualification round, she scored a 14.266 on beam and was the first reserve for the final. [10] The Australian team finished seventh in the team final, and Nedov contributed a 14.066 on beam. [11] Nedov ended her season at the Élite Gym Massilia where she only competed beam, but she did not qualify for the event final. [12]
Nedov began her season with a sixth place finish on beam at the City of Jesolo Trophy. [13] She also placed sixth on beam at the National Championships. [14] At the Summer Universiade, Nedov finished eighth in the all-around final and fifth in the team final and the balance beam final. [15] Nedov won a silver medal in the all-around and a bronze medal on beam at a friendly meet against China. [16] This competition was Nedov's last of the season due to an injury. [17]
Nedov won a bronze medal with the Australian team at the Pacific Rim Championships. [18] Nedov competed at the Olympic Test Event to help Australia in their attempt to qualify as a full team to the 2016 Olympic Games. [19] The Australian team finished fifth and thus did not qualify. Nedov then competed at the National Championships where she won the bronze medal on beam, [20] but ultimately Australia's sole Olympic spot went to Larrissa Miller. [21] Nedov later remarked that Australia's failure to qualify as a team was extremely disappointing and she "actually considered retiring then." [22] In the end, Nedov decided that she would continue compete and planned on retiring after the 2018 Commonwealth Games. [17]
In February and March, Nedov competed at World Cup events in Melbourne, Baku and Doha where she placed fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively, on balance beam. [23] Early in 2017, Nedov tore her Achilles tendon in training. Afterwards, Nedov retired, but she later decided to comeback. [22] On her decision to make a comeback, Nedov stated, "After having the time off, experiencing life without gymnastics and getting a proper job, I decided that I’d give my all and go for it one last time." [23] Nedov returned to competition in September 2018 at the Australian Classic where she finished fourth in the all-around and won the gold on balance beam. [24] Then, Nedov was selected to compete at the 2018 World Championships where she helped the Australian team finish fifteenth. [25]
Nedov competed at the 2019 Melbourne World Cup where she won a silver on balance beam and finished fourth on floor exercise. [26] [23] In March 2019, Nedov starred in an advertisement for activewear brand Running Bare as a part of their "This One’s For Me" campaign. [27] Nedov won the gold medal on beam at the Baku World Cup. [28] At the National Championships, Nedov won the gold medal on balance beam and won the bronze medal in the all-around. [29]
Nedov returned to training in late 2023. She competed at the National Championships on the Gold Coast in May 2024, [30] where she finished fourth in the all around. [31] In June Nedov was named to the Australian team to compete at the 2024 Olympic Games alongside Kate McDonald, Ruby Pass, Breanna Scott, and Emily Whitehead. [32]

Anastasia Andreyevna Ilyankova is a Russian artistic gymnast. She is the 2020 Olympic silver medalist, the 2019 European champion, and the 2019 and 2020 Russian champion on the uneven bars. She is a four-time FIG World Cup medalist, and she finished fourth on the uneven bars at the 2017 World Championships.
Mai Murakami is a Japanese retired artistic gymnast and Olympic medalist. She is the 2017 and 2021 World champion on floor exercise, the 2018 World all-around silver medalist and floor exercise bronze medalist, the 2021 World balance beam bronze medalist, and a four-time Japanese national all-around champion. She represented Japan at the 2016 and 2020 Olympics, winning a bronze medal on floor exercise in the latter. This made her the first female Japanese gymnast to win an individual medal at the Olympics.

Lieke Wevers is a Dutch artistic gymnast. She was the first Dutch woman to win a European title in gymnastics: at the 2015 European Games, she won the gold medal on the balance beam and was the bronze medalist with the Dutch team, in the individual all-around, and on floor exercise. She competed at the 2016, 2020, and 2024 Summer Olympics, qualifiying for the all-around finals in 2020.
Eythora Elisabet Thorsdottir is a Dutch artistic gymnast. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics where she finished ninth in the individual all-around. At the 2017 European Championships, she won a silver medal on balance beam and a bronze medal on floor exercise. She is also the 2019 European floor exercise silver medalist and the 2023 European bronze medalist with the Dutch team.

Shallon Jade Olsen is a Canadian artistic gymnast. She is the 2018 World silver medallist and 2018 Commonwealth Games champion on vault. She is also the 2018 Commonwealth Games floor exercise bronze medallist and the 2019 Pan American Games vault bronze medallist. She was a member of the Canadian team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the silver medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. She is also the 2016 Pacific Rim vault champion, team silver medallist, and floor exercise bronze medallist. She represented Canada at the 2016 Olympics where she was the youngest member of the Canadian Olympic team and at the 2020 Olympic Games.
