International Gymnix

The International Gymnix is a major international annual gymnastics competition. It is held in Montreal, Canada, with a senior and a junior tournaments. [1] It was organized for the first time in 1991. [2] [3] It is the largest international gymnastics competition of Canada. [4] The tournament brings together some of the best gymnasts in the world, including the Canadian elite. [2] [5]

Many talents were launched in this competition, [1] to which have taken part MyKayla Skinner, [6] Ellie Black, [2] Carly Patterson, [7] Nina Derwael, [7] Jordyn Wieber, [8] Dominique Dawes, [8] Aliya Mustafina, [8] Oksana Chusovitina, [8] Isabela Onyshko, [9] Shawn Johnson, [7] Bridget Sloan, [7] Larisa Iordache, [7] Lilia Podkopayeva, [7] Lauren Mitchell, [7] Angelina Melnikova, [10] Sunisa Lee, [11] among others.

MyKayla Brooke Skinner Harmer is an American former artistic gymnast. She was the 2020 Olympic vault silver medalist, competing as an individual, and was an alternate for the 2016 Olympic team. Skinner competed at the 2014 World Championships, where she contributed to the U.S. team's gold medal, also winning an individual bronze medal on vault. She won 11 total medals at the USA National Championships during her senior career. She also competed for the University of Utah's gymnastics team and was a two-time NCAA champion while also setting Pac-12 records for conference honors.

The 2014 International Gymnix competition was a competition held in Montreal, Canada in early March 2014. It was the 23rd edition of the International Gymnix. The nations that had placed in the top 16 places in the 2011 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were invited to the tournament, with Belgium, Italy, Romania and Russia joining it. The Junior International Cup was open to athletes born between 1999 and 2001. Russia won the team event. Kirsten Peterman placed third on vault after her 2013 win, while Angelina Melnikova won her first international medal, placing second on all-around in the Junior Cup.

Angelina Romanovna Melnikova is a Russian artistic gymnast. With eleven Olympic and World medals, she is the joint third-most decorated Russian gymnast of all time. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she led the Russian Olympic Committee to gold in the team competition. She previously represented Russia at the 2016 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal in the team competition. She was also a member of the gold medal-winning Russian teams at the 2016 and 2018 European Championships, and the silver medal-winning Russian teams at the 2018 and 2019 World Championships.

Anastasia Andreyevna Ilyankova is a Russian artistic gymnast. She is the 2020 Olympic silver medalist, the 2019 European champion, and the 2019 and 2020 Russian champion on the uneven bars. She is a four-time FIG World Cup medalist, and she finished fourth on the uneven bars at the 2017 World Championships.

Maria Anatolyevna Bondareva is a Russian former artistic gymnast. She was a member of the team that won the gold medal at the 2014 Junior European Championships. She is the 2013 European Youth Olympic Festival champion on the balance beam and with the team.

She was a member of the Canadian team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the silver medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. She is also the 2016 Pacific Rim vault champion, team silver medallist, and floor exercise bronze medallist. She represented Canada at the 2016 Olympics where she was the youngest member of the Canadian Olympic team and at the 2020 Olympic Games. Irina Nikolayevna Alexeeva or Alekseeva is a Russian artistic gymnast and a former member of the Russian National Team. She was part of the teams that won the gold medal at the 2018 European Championships and the silver medal at the 2018 World Championships.

Kayla Kecia DiCello is an American artistic gymnast. She is the 2021 World bronze medalist and the 2023 Pan American Games champion in the all-around. On the junior level, she is the 2019 Junior World vault champion and the 2019 U.S. Junior national all-around champion. She was an alternate for the 2020 Olympic team and the gold medal-winning 2023 World Championships team. She also competes for the University of Florida women's gymnastics team.

The women's artistic individual all-around event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo was held at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre on 29 July 2021. Approximately 80 gymnasts from 49 nations competed in the all-around in the qualifying round.
