Emmanuel Tarpin (born 1992) is a French contemporary jewelry designer. [1] [2] Since 2018, he founded his self-titled atelier for high-end jewelry. [3] [4] He lives in Paris. [5]

Biography

Emmanuel Tarpin was born in 1992 in Annecy, Haute-Savoie, France. [6] In childhood he practiced sculpture. [6] Tarpin is openly queer. [7]

He graduated from the Geneva University of Art and Design in 2014. [8] After graduation he worked on the jewelry bench at Van Cleef & Arpels, and remained there for three years. [8] In 2018, he founded his own atelier for high-end jewelry. [3] In 2019, he made a capsule collection for Swiss luxury jeweler De Grisogono. [1] [9]

In 2019, he won the Town & Country Jewelry Award for "Breakthrough Designer of the Year". [7] [3] Celebrities that have worn his work include Mandy Moore, [10] [11] and Rihanna. [12] Prices for Tarpin’s jewelry in 2019 started around 15,000 euros ($16,525 USD). [5]

She then returned to school and received her Master of Arts in Jewellery Design from the Royal College of Art. During her honeymoon in Sri Lanka she visited a mine and was shocked to see the working conditions. After that experience, she started to use laboratory grown synthesized and simulated gemstones. Anabela uses a range of sustainable materials such as recycled aluminium from soda cans in her jewellery.

Valentine Avoh is a Belgian fashion designer of Ivorian descent. She is a wedding dress designer, writer, journalist and photographer. She started her own label in 2015 after working for fashion designers Alexander McQueen, Samantha Shaw, Alexis Mabille, Sam Andrès Milano, Spanish wedding dress label Pronovias and designer Marc Philippe Coudeyre. Following the social movement Black Lives Matter in the United States, Valentine Avoh has been published in The Coveteur and The New York Times as a young and talented European Black female bridal designer and on Brides (magazine) as one of the "20 Black Wedding Dress Designers to Know" in 2021.

Oscar Massin (1829–1913) was a Belgian-born French jeweler known as “The Diamond Reformer," who created some of the 19th centuries most influential and innovative fine jewelry that radically redefined a new era for the industry at large. While Massin remains one of the least-known Parisian jewelers, he produced some of the most significant works of his time, many for European royalty. Massin is celebrated for his patented diamond lacework technique, which uses filigree to create the illusion of woven metal.
