Air Marshal (retd.) Muhammad Enamul Bari is a former Bangladesh Air Force officer whose last assignment before retiring was the 13th Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force. [1] [2] He retired on June 12, 2015 after over 30 years of service. [3] [4] He also served as the Chairman of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the flag carrier of Bangladesh for nearly four years. [5] [6] He was replaced by Sajjadul Hassan as the chairperson of Bangladesh Biman. [5]

Biman Bangladesh Airlines commonly known as Biman, pronounced, is the national flag carrier of Bangladesh. Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport is the largest international airport in Bangladesh. It is located in Kurmitola, 17 kilometres from the city centre, in the northern part of the capital city Dhaka. The airport is also used as a part of Bangladesh Air Force Base. The airport has an area of 802 hectares. The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) operates and maintains the airport. It started operations in 1980, taking over from Tejgaon Airport as the principal international airport of the country. The airport was formerly known as Dacca International Airport and later as Zia International Airport, before being named in honour of Shah Jalal, who is one of the most respected Sufi saints of Bangladesh. The IATA code of the airport "DAC" is derived from "Dacca", which is the previously used spelling for "Dhaka".

Shah Amanat International Airport is an international airport serving Bangladesh's southeastern port city of Chittagong. Operated and maintained by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, it is the second-largest international airport in Bangladesh after Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is used by the Bangladesh Air Force as a part of 'BAF Zahurul Haq Base'. It was formerly known as MA Hannan International Airport, named after Awami League politician M. A. Hannan, but was renamed on 2 April 2005 by the Government of Bangladesh, after an 18th-century Islamic saint, Shah Amanat. It is capable of annually handling 1.5 million passengers and 6,000 tonnes of cargo. It also serves as a base for the Arirang Flying School.

Osmani Airport in Sylhet, Bangladesh, is the third largest airport in Bangladesh after Dhaka and Chittagong. The airport is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) and is served by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the national airline, which at one point earned most of its revenue from this airport. Private airlines Novoair and US-Bangla Airlines operate domestic flights to Dhaka.

Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) functions as the regulatory body for all aviation related activities in Bangladesh. It is the civil aviation authority operating under the Ministry of Civil Aviation & Tourism. All nine operational airports are operated by the CAAB. A member of International Civil Aviation Organization, it has signed bilateral air transport agreement with 52 states. It is headquartered in Kurmitola, Dhaka.

Air Marshal Shah Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, ndc, fawc, psc was Chief of Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force. He was preceded by Air Vice Marshal Fakhrul Azam, ndc, psc.

Enamul Haque, sometimes Enamul Huq, was a Bangladeshi actor, academician and playwright. He acted in stage, television and film mediums. He was a professor at the Department of Chemistry of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2012 by the Government of Bangladesh for his contribution to fine arts.

Air Chief Marshal Abu Esrar, BBP, NDC, ACSC was the 14th Chief of the Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force. He took over as the chief on 12 June 2015 from Air Marshal Enamul Bari. He is the first four-star air officer of Bangladesh. He was promoted to ACM on 16 January 2016.

Air Marshal (retd.) Jamal Uddin Ahmed is a former Chief of Air Staff, the highest appointment in the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF), and former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Biman Bangladesh. He was promoted to Air Marshal by then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the day of his retirement from the BAF in 2001. Three years later, the Khaleda Zia government voided his promotion, declaring it unlawful because there was no such post in the BAF's organizational chart. He appealed the decision to the High Court, which in 2008 restored his rank of air marshal, ruling that he had been stripped of it illegally.

Chowdhury Sajjadul Karim was a Bangladeshi nuclear physicist and former advisor of the caretaker government led by Fakhruddin Ahmed. He was in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, and Ministry of Environment and Forest.

Enamul Haque (museologist) Bangladeshi museologist (1937–2022)

Enamul Haque was a Bangladeshi museologist. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2014 and Independence Day Award in 2017 by the Government of Bangladesh. In 2020, Haque was also awarded the Padma Shri award for his tremendous contribution in the field of archeology and museology by the Government of India.

Bangladesh Air Force Welfare Trust (BAFWT) is a Bangladesh government and Bangladesh Air Force supported trust that works for the welfare of retired air force personnel and their families. Air Chief Marshal Shaikh Abdul Hannan, Chief of the Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force, is the Present chairperson of Bangladesh Air Force Welfare Trust.

Sajjadul Hassan is a Bangladeshi bureaucrat and chairperson of Bangladesh Biman airlines. He is the former Senior Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office.

Obaidul Hassan is a judge on the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court.
