Enrico Testa is an Italian poet and professor in Italian Studies at the University of Genova. [1] [2]

Biography

Enrico Testa is a professor of "Storia della lingua italiana". Previoulsy he got a PhD at the Università di Pavia. He worked on short stories of the XV Century and XVI Century, and on the Novel, but in particular he dedicated to Italian poetry of the XX Century, on poets such Eugenio Montale, Giorgio Caproni, Alberto Vigevani and Edoardo Sanguineti. He edited an anthology of the Italian Contemporary Poetry (Dopo la lirica. Poeti italiani 1960-2000, Einaudi 2005). He also presented poetry collections of Cesare Ruffato, Cesare Viviani and Menotti Lerro. He translated from English High Windows by Philip Larkin. Testa was also visiting professor at the Aarhus University in Denmark and member of PhD commission at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle of Paris. [3] Since 2023 he adhered to Empathism. [4] He published several books of poetry and he also dedicated some poems at his favorite football team, Sampdoria. [5]

In 2015 he published Donna Giovanna, l'ingannatrice di Salerno, a feminized bisexual version of the mythical figure of Don Juan, El Burlador de Sevilla.
