Enrique Leite (born December 12, 1963) is a physical education teacher, swimming coach, lifeguard and an Uruguayan sprint canoeist who competed in the early 1990s. At the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, he was eliminated in the repechages of both the K-1 500 m and the K-1 1000 m events.
In 1979 he won a bronze medal in the South American Swimming Championship in São Paulo, Brazil.
For the 1982 South American Swimming Championship in La Paz, Bolivia, he became the first Uruguayan male swimmer in obtaining a gold medal for Uruguay: he gold in the 400m individual medley and 200m breaststroke, a silver for 200m individual medley with a final count of seven medals including the Uruguayan team relays.
In 1984 South American Swimming Championship in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he won bronze for the 400m individual medley.
In 1986 he was a water polo player for the Uruguay National Team at the South American Water Polo Championship in Santiago, Chile.
As a Uruguayan Team swimmer participated in South American Games in Buenos Aires 1980, Medellìn 1981 (silver in the 400m individual medley and 200m breaststroke, and bronze in the 200m individual medley among other Uruguay relays medals.
In 1982 was a member of the Uruguayan National Swimming team for the South American Games in Rosario, Argentina where was gold for the 400m individual medley and 200m breaststroke among other medals obtained individually and as a member of the Uruguay relays team.
Participated as a swimmer for the Uruguay national team at the 1979 Pan American Games and the 1983 Pan American Games in Caracas, Venezuela.
Participated in the 1982 World Aquatics Championships in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
In 1980 was named to be a member of the Uruguayan national swimming team for the Moscow Olympics but finally Uruguay adhered to the Boycott and did not participate in those games.
In 1988 while studying physical education, started practicing flat water kayaking on his brother's recommendation. As a paddler, was part of the Uruguayan National Canoeing team for the World Canoeing Championship in Poznan, Poland 1990 and Paris 1991 as well as for the Pre-Olympics at Barcelona in 1991.
In 1991 was a member of the Uruguayan National Canoeing Team for the 1991 Pan American Games in La Habana, Cuba, where he placed fifth for the K1-1000m, which qualified him to be in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona.
Enrique Leite is the only athlete in Uruguay in making the national team for Pan American Games or Olympics in two different sport disciplines, swimming and canoeing.
As a swimming coach he had taken the Carrasco Lawn Tennis Club Summer Swimming team to the first place in 1984.
In 2008 and 2009 Optimist South American Championships held in Paracas- Perú and Salinas- Ecuador he was the Team Leader of the Uruguayan National Optimist Team

Thiago Machado Vilela Pereira is a retired Brazilian international competition swimmer. One of the greatest swimmers in the history of Brazil, Pereira won the silver medal in the 400-meter individual medley at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, beating the then-current Olympic champion Michael Phelps. He also broke a world record in the short course 200-meter individual medley, and broke several South American and Brazilian records. During his career, he competed with swimming legends Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte.
Joanna de Albuquerque Maranhão Bezerra de Melo, or Joanna Maranhão is a swimmer from Brazil, who competed at three consecutive Summer Olympics for her native country, starting in 2004. She was a finalist in the 400-metre individual medley at 2004 Athens, finishing in 5th place, the best position of all time obtained by the Brazil women's swimming, along with Piedade Coutinho. Joanna also broke countless Brazilian and South American records.

He is also the first swimmer from China to win a gold medal in an Olympic men's medley swimming event. He had earlier won a bronze medal in the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Ratapong "Nuk" Sirisanont is a Thai former swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke, but also competed in long-distance freestyle and individual medley. He is a four-time Olympian, a three-time Asian Games participant, and a seven-time SEA Games athlete (1991–2003). Regarded as Thailand's top swimmer, he has won a total of sixteen medals at the Southeast Asian Games since 1995, and six at the Asian Games, including two golds in the 200 and 400 m individual medley. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Sirisanont became the first Thai swimmer to reach the final twice. Sirisanont is also one of three Southeast Asian swimmers, along with Malaysia's Alex Lim and Philippines' Miguel Molina, to train for the California Golden Bears in the United States, under head coach Nort Thornton.
Nicolas Fink is an American competitive swimmer. He is a five-time world champion in breaststroke events and a 2024 Olympic Silver Medalist in the 100 meter breaststroke. He is a world record holder in the short course 4×100 meter medley relay and 4×50 meter mixed medley relay. He is the Americas record holder in the short course 50 meter breaststroke, 100 meter breaststroke, and 200 meter breaststroke as well as the American record holder in the long course 50 meter breaststroke. In the 50 meter breaststroke, he won the World Short Course titles in 2021 and 2022 and World Long Course title in 2022. James George Guy is an English competitive swimmer who specialises in freestyle and butterfly. In addition to further medals in those events, he has also reached the podium at both the World and European short-course championships. Sydney Pickrem is a Canadian competitive swimmer who competed for Texas A&M University in College Station. A three-time Olympian, she placed sixth in the 200m individual medley at the 2016 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics as part of the Canadian 4×100 metre medley relay team. In February 2024, Gorbenko won a silver medal at the Doha World Championships in the women's 400 meters individual medley. Gorbenko represented Israel at the 2024 Summer Olympics in swimming in the 100m backstroke, 200m backstroke, 100m breaststroke, 200m individual medley, 400m individual medley, 4x200m freestyle relay, and mixed 4x100m medley relay.

Ron Polonsky is an Israeli Olympic swimmer. He won silver medals in the 2019 European Junior Championships and the 2023 European U-23 Championships, as well as the gold medal in the 2024 European Aquatics Championships, in the 200m IM. He also competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and won the silver medal in the 2024 NCAA Division I Championships in the 100 Y Breast.
