"Envy Me" is the debut single by American rapper and singer Calboy. It was released on September 13, 2018, as the lead single from his debut EP Wildboy. [1] [2] It is known as his breakout single. [3] [4] The song peaked at number 31 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it his first song to chart and his first top 40 entry. [5] It has become a staple on SoundCloud, achieving over 130 million streams. [6] Rolling Stone called it "one of the most successful rap records in the country" at the peak of the song's popularity (in the United States). [7]
Rolling Stone called the song "eerie, bright and hyper-violent", and that it "revels in the dichotomy of Calboy's delivery and is one of the reasons it's an off-kilter hit." [7]
A music video was released on Calboy's official YouTube channel on August 27, 2018, before the supposed release of the single. It reached 25 million views by January 2019 and as of May 19, 2021, it has amassed over 200 million views. [8]

Country Grammar is the debut studio album by American rapper and singer Nelly. It was released on June 27, 2000, by Universal Records. The production on the album was handled by Jason "Jay E" Epperson, with additional production by C-Love, Kevin Law, City Spud, Steve "Blast" Wills and Basement Beats. Nelly contributed to all lyrics on the album, with Epperson and City Spud also contributing. With the album’s release, Nelly and his “St. Lunatics” crew cemented the St. Louis sound firmly amongst other southern hip hop artists in the year 2000, such as Juvenile, Trina, Ludacris, OutKast, Three 6 Mafia and UGK. Country Grammar also introduced the world to Nelly's unique musical style of pop-rap and radio “singalongs” with a Missouri twang. It was supported by four successful singles: "Country Grammar ", "E.I.", "Ride wit Me" and "Batter Up". Its lead single, "Country Grammar ", peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles Chart. Its second single "E.I." peaked at number 16 on the Hot 100, number 12 on the UK Singles Chart and number 11 on the ARIA Singles Chart. "Ride wit Me" peaked within the top five on the Hot 100, ARIA Singles Chart, Irish Singles Chart and UK Singles Chart. The album's fourth and final single, "Batter Up" featuring St. Lunatics members Murphy Lee and Ali, achieved moderate chart success.

American drill rapper and songwriter Pop Smoke has released two studio albums, two mixtapes, three extended plays, nineteen music videos, twenty-eight singles, and three promotional singles. Pop Smoke began his music career in 2018 when visiting a Brooklyn recording studio with fellow rapper Jay Gwuapo. After Gwuapo got inebriated on drugs and fell asleep, Pop Smoke went into a booth to try rapping for the first time. He used a beat he got from English producer 808Melo and used American rapper Sheff G's song "Panic Part 3". He recorded his debut single titled "MPR ". Pop Smoke rose to fame with the release of his breakout single "Welcome to the Party" in April 2019. Two remixes of the song were later recorded, with one featuring Nicki Minaj and the other featuring Skepta.
Ryan Preston Adams, known professionally as Rylo Rodriguez, is an American rapper from Mobile, Alabama. He signed with Lil Baby's record label, Glass Window Entertainment in a joint venture with Virgin Records in February 2020. He first gained recognition for his collaborations with the rapper, and released his debut studio album, G.I.H.F. in November of that year. It peaked within the top 40 of the Billboard 200, while his second album, Been One (2023) peaked within the top ten and was supported by the single "Thang for You" —his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 as a lead artist.
