Gaining traction through its documentary videos of historical events such as the World War I, Napoleonic wars, Russian revolution and many more. A self-described "Comic/Guitar Hero", he is best known for the comedy on his YouTube channel, Nice Peter, and especially for the comedic series Epic Rap Battles of History which he co-created with Lloyd "EpicLLOYD" Ahlquist. As of June 8, 2016, NicePeter has over 2.6 million YouTube subscribers. The day after hitting one million subscribers, the video game channel G4 crowned Nice Peter the King of Dot Comedy on Attack of the Show. His two channels, Nice Peter and ERB, have a total of over 17 million subscribers and 4 billion views as of February 2019. He also has a third channel that he uses for vlogs and "Monday Shows", a show that he uploads on either Mondays or Tuesdays consisting of different segments including "Viewer Mail", "Twitter Question Time", and "Ask a Giraffe". They have been featured on the Huffington Post, Billboard.com, Forbes and the January 2012 issue of Wired.
Epic Rap Battles of History (ERB) is a YouTube web series and music project created by Peter "Nice Peter" Shukoff and Lloyd "EpicLLOYD" Ahlquist. The series pits historical and pop culture figures against one another in a rap battle format. The characters portrayed are often determined by suggestions from viewers in the comments sections of the channel's videos. Shukoff and Ahlquist write each song themselves, researching the subject in order to find obscure details to use as references in the lyrics, although guest stars featured in the battles as well as certain Patreon subscribers have also contributed to the writing process. Following an extended hiatus, the channel returned with a bonus battle in December 2018, and the sixth season debuted on April 20, 2019. As of February 23, 2023, the channel has 14.9 million subscribers and approximately 4 billion total video views.

His YouTube channel Redaktsiya has amassed more than 4 million subscribers and over 1.1 billion views as of June 2023. In 2022, the Russian Ministry of Justice placed Pivovarov on the foreign agents list for his condemnation of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and longstanding critical attitude toward the Russian authorities.

Ahlquist has performed as an MC, actor, improviser and writer. In addition to the rap battles, Ahlquist, along with Shukoff, appeared in a cameo in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.

Matthew Robert Patrick, better known as MatPat, is an American semi-retired YouTuber and internet personality. He is the creator and former host of the YouTube series Game Theory, and its spin-off series Film Theory, Food Theory, and Style Theory, each analyzing various video games, films alongside TV series and web series, food, and fashion respectively. Each of the different series is posted on individual channels, each named after the respective series. In addition to the creation of his channels, MatPat narrated the majority of the videos that are presented on his channels before his departure on March 9, 2024.

His main channel Ali-A has a subscriber count of over 18 million, with its total views exceeding 6 billion. His second channel, More Ali-A, has a YouTube subscriber count of over 19 million and a total of over 6 billion video views. On 23 April 2018, Ali-A created a new channel, titled "Clare & Ali" with his partner, Clare Siobhan. The Great War is operated and owned by Real Time History. The series debuted on July 28, 2014. It is currently hosted and written by Jesse Alexander, a Canadian historian. Thomas Michael Simons, better known as TommyInnit, is an English YouTuber, Twitch streamer and comedian. He produces Minecraft-related videos and live streams, including collaborations with fellow YouTubers and streamers in the Dream SMP. Joining the Dream SMP caused his YouTube and Twitch channels to increase in popularity. As of 24 April 2023, his eleven YouTube channels have collectively reached over 27.74 million subscribers and over 2.82 billion views; his two Twitch channels have reached over 9.02 million followers, making him the most-followed Minecraft channel on Twitch, as well as the 17th most-followed overall.
