Pulickel Madhavapanicker Ajayan, known as P. M. Ajayan, is the Benjamin M. and Mary Greenwood Anderson Professor in Engineering at Rice University. He is the founding chair of Rice University's Materials Science and NanoEngineering department and also holds joint appointments with the Department of Chemistry and Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Prior to joining Rice, he was the Henry Burlage Professor of Material Sciences and Engineering and the director of the NYSTAR interconnect focus center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute until 2007. Known for his pioneering work of designing and carrying out the first experiments to make nanotubes intentionally.
Tirunelveli, also known as Nellai and historically as Tinnevelly, is a major city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the administrative headquarters of the Tirunelveli District. It is the fourth-largest municipal corporation in the state after Chennai, Coimbatore, and Madurai. Tirunelveli is located 624 km (388 mi) southwest of the state capital Chennai, 58 km (36 mi) away from Thoothukudi, and 73 km (45 mi) from Kanyakumari. The downtown is located on the west bank of the Thamirabarani River; its twin Palayamkottai is on the east bank. Palayamkottai is called the Oxford of South India as it has many schools and colleges. Bibek Debroy is an Indian economist, serving as the chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India. He is also the Chairman of the Finance Ministry's 'Expert Committee for Infrastructure Classification and Financing Framework for Amrit Kaal'. Tamu is a town in the Kabaw Valley in the Sagaing Region in north-west Myanmar near the border with the eastern Indian state of Manipur. It is a principal town of the Kabaw Valley and the seat of administration for the Tamu Township. Opposite the Indian town of Moreh, it is home to an official border trade posts with India, which opened on 12 April 2005. In 2022, total trade volume at the border post stood at US$15.134 million.

The Vir-e-Hind was a military decoration awarded by the Azad Hind Government. The award was a second class star below the award of Sardar-e-Jung. First instituted by Subhas Chandra Bose in Germany, it was later also awarded to troops of the Indian National Army in South East Asia. The award could be conferred with swords for valour in combat, and without swords for non-combat awards. At least one award was made, to Capt Shangara Singh Mann. Capt. Mann was also awarded the Sardar-e-Jung medal.

Anargyros Printezis was born in Vari, Syros island, Greece in August 1937, and was ordained a priest on 10 December 1961. He was appointed titular bishop of Gratianopolis and Apostolic Exarch of the Byzantine Rite Catholics in Greece on 28 June 1975 and ordained bishop on 6 August 1975. Anargyros retired from Apostolic Exarchate of the Byzantine Rite Catholics in Greece on 23 April 2008.
