The Erasmus Brussels University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Dutch: Erasmushogeschool Brussel) is an institute of higher education based in Brussels, Belgium.

Contents

Like the EU student exchange programme ERASMUS, EhB is named after the humanistic philosopher and author Desiderius Erasmus, who resided in Anderlecht, a municipality of Brussels.

History

The Flemish Higher Education Decree of 13 July 1994 ushered in a large-scale merger operation and reorganisation of the educational system (disciplines and curricula). More than 160 institutions were reduced to 22 colleges. Erasmus University College Brussels came into being in 1995 from a merger of some ten colleges in and around Brussels.

EhB has around 4500 students and consists of six departments that offer bachelor and master of Art degree programmes in 20 study areas.

Brussels University Association

Together with the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Free University of Brussels), in 2003 the EhB created the Universitaire Associatie Brussel (Brussels University Association) to bring the master's degree programmes in line with the academic requirements of the Bologna declaration.

Universum College is a university in Prishtina, Kosovo. It was founded in 2005. The university offers 15 undergraduate programs and 8 graduate programs. Studies can be offered with dual study memberships or double degrees with EU universities for specific studies. The college as a higher education provider is accredited by the Kosovo Accreditation Agency. The university is partnered up with 152 universities within the Erasmus+ program. Universum College is also accredited by the University of Northampton to offer programs with English curricula and standards. Students who attend these programs will receive a University of Northampton degree. UON is one of the universities listed in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

Chulalongkorn University in Thailand comprises nineteen constituent faculties, as well as six schools and colleges, which form the university's teaching units. Together, they offer 76 undergraduate and 375 postgraduate programmes, and host the university's 25,940 undergraduate and 11,424 postgraduate students. Each of the faculties is focused on a specific subject area. All undergraduate and most postgraduate students will apply for a programme of study under a specific faculty, and will belong with that faculty throughout the duration of their studies.
