Erik Clausen (born 7 March 1942) is a Danish actor, film director and screenwriter. He has directed fourteen films since 1981. His 2007 film Temporary Release was entered into the 29th Moscow International Film Festival. [1]

In 1977, he won the Silver Bear for Best Director for Camada negra at the 27th Berlin International Film Festival. His 1979 film El corazón del bosque was entered into the 29th Berlin International Film Festival. Two years later, his film Maravillas was entered into the 31st Berlin International Film Festival. His 1982 film Demons in the Garden was entered into the 13th Moscow International Film Festival where it won the FIPRESCI Prize. In 1991 he was a member of the jury at the 17th Moscow International Film Festival.

The 2nd Shanghai International Film Festival was held between October 28 and November 12, 1995. Before Sundown is a 1956 West German drama film directed by Gottfried Reinhardt and starring Hans Albers, Annemarie Düringer and Martin Held. At the 6th Berlin International Film Festival it won the Golden Bear. It was adapted from the classic play of the same title by Gerhart Hauptmann.

<i>Twist and Shout</i> (film) 1984 film

Twist and Shout is a 1984 Danish drama film directed by Bille August. It was entered into the 14th Moscow International Film Festival where Lars Simonsen won the award for Best Actor. The film saw a release in American theaters in 1986. Twist and Shout was also selected as the Danish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 58th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.

The 29th Moscow International Film Festival was held from 21 to 30 June 2007. The Golden George was awarded to the Russian film Travelling with Pets directed by Vera Storozheva.
