Det Norske Teatret is a theatre in Oslo. The theatre was founded in 1912, after an initiative from Hulda Garborg and Edvard Drabløs. It opened in 1913, touring with two plays, Ervingen by Ivar Aasen and Rationelt Fjøsstell by Hulda Garborg. Its first official performance was Ludvig Holberg's comedy Jeppe på berget, with Haakon VII of Norway and the prime minister of Norway among the spectators. Hulda Garborg was the first board manager, and Rasmus Rasmussen was the first theatre director. The theatre primarily performs plays written in or translated into Nynorsk.

Tom Tellefsen was a Norwegian actor. He was born in Asker. He was married to actress Rut Tellefsen from 1955 to 1962. He made his film debut in 1949, in Arne Skouen's Gategutter, and also played in Circus Fandango from 1954 and Blodveien from 1955. His stage debut was at Det Norske Teatret in 1959, and he worked at this theatre until his retirement in 2001. Among his later films are Smuglere from 1968, Balladen om mestertyven Ole Høiland from 1970, Bør Børson Jr. and Kimen from 1974 and Hard asfalt from 1986. He also contributed to television and radio.
Reidar Sørensen is a Norwegian actor. He was born in Hemnesberget. He has worked at various theatres, including Trøndelag Teater, Det Norske Teatret, Riksteatret, Nordland Teater and Agder Teater. He was given the Amanda Award in 1989 for Himmelplaneten. He played the detective "Cato Isaksen" in several TV crime series based on novels by Unni Lindell. He has played in several drama films, including Byttinger from 1991, Ti kniver i hjertet from 1995, Brent av frost from 1997, and 1732 Høtten from 1998. He played the character "Gaston" in Torun Lian's film for young adults Ikke naken in 2004, and "Viktor" in Gunnar Vikene's film Trigger in 2006. He was assigned theatre director at Nordland Teater from 2008.

Kadir Talabani is a Norwegian-Kurdish actor born in Kirkuk, Iraq. After his family got involved in the establishment of the PUK political party in 1975, the Talabanis lived in exile in various locations in the Middle East. Kadir moved to Norway in 1999 with his family.
