Erika Anderson is an American film and television actress best known for her role as Greta in A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child (1989) and subsequently the actress Selena Swift in the television series Twin Peaks (1990). Erika married Richard Butler on September 22, 2020.
Anderson grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of a sculptor. She attended Nathan Hale High School [1] and the University of Tulsa, graduating with a major in telecommunications and a minor in theater. While in school, she worked as a disc jockey at Tulsa's only jazz radio station and also began working in television, eventually hosting her own arts program.[ citation needed ]
After college, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in radio and television. [2] She signed with a modeling agency and worked steadily in New York City, Paris, Milan, and Los Angeles. She appeared in fashion layouts in magazines such as Vogue and Interview. [2] While in Italy, she played the lead in a short experimental film about an Italian vision of the United States called Through Your Eyes.
Her first role in a full-length movie was in the 1988 movie Lifted, and her breakthrough role came in 1989 in the horror movie A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child as Greta Gibson. Anderson appeared in three TV episodes of Twin Peaks , playing twin sisters, Emerald and Jade in Invitation to Love. She starred in the 1991 erotic suspense thriller Zandalee with Nicolas Cage, Judge Reinhold, and Joe Pantoliano. [3]
In 1991, she starred in the suspense thriller Shadows of the Past as Jackie Delaney with Nicholas Campbell. In 1995, she starred with Scott Valentine in Object of Obsession as Margaret, a woman taken hostage by her mysterious new lover. Her last movie was in 2000 in the film Ascension.[ citation needed ]
Anderson has made many guest appearances on TV shows from Silk Stalkings , Dream On , Twin Peaks , to Red Shoe Diaries (Liar's Tale). The 5-foot 11-inch brunette modeled for various fashion magazines, as well as for photographers Helmut Newton, Douglas Sutter, and sculptor Robert Graham. She has appeared on the cover of at-least five magazines. In 2010 Anderson appeared in Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy .[ citation needed ] Anderson was also featured in articles in such magazines as the May 1991 Premiere Magazine , (pages 38–42) by Phoebe Hoban, the January 1991 Elle , as well as ITC Entertainment's press kit for the 1991 film Zandalee .
In 2020, Anderson married Richard Butler, the English lead singer of The Psychedelic Furs. [4]

A Nightmare on Elm Street is an American supernatural slasher media franchise consisting of nine films, a television series, novels, comic books, and various other media. The franchise began with the film A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), written and directed by Wes Craven. The overall plot of the franchise centers around the fictional character Fred "Freddy" Krueger, the apparition of a former child killer who was burned alive by the vengeful parents of his victims, who returns from the grave to terrorize and kill the teenage residents of the fictional Springwood, Ohio in their dreams. Craven returned to the franchise to co-script the second sequel, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), and to write/direct Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994). The films collectively grossed $472 million at the box office worldwide.
Freddy Krueger is a fictional character and the primary antagonist in the A Nightmare on Elm Street film series. He was created by Wes Craven and made his debut in Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) as the malevolent spirit of a child killer who had been burned to death by his victims' parents after evading prison. Krueger goes on to murder his victims in their dreams, causing their deaths in the real world as well. In the dream world, he is a powerful force and seemingly invulnerable. However, whenever Freddy is pulled back into the real world, he has normal human vulnerabilities and can be destroyed. He is commonly identified by his burned, disfigured face, dirty red-and-green-striped sweater and brown fedora, and trademark metal-clawed, brown leather, right hand glove. This glove was the product of Krueger's own imagination, having welded the blades himself before using it to murder many of his victims, both in the real and dream worlds. Over the course of the film series, Freddy has battled several reoccurring survivors including Nancy Thompson and Alice Johnson. The character was consistently portrayed by Robert Englund in the original film series as well as in the television spin-off Freddy's Nightmares.

She is best known for her role as Alice Johnson in the A Nightmare on Elm Street sequels 4 (1988) and 5 (1989)—both box office successes. In 2023, she appeared as herself along with her son Ryan on the controversial reality television series MILF Manor on TLC.
Richard Lofthouse Butler is an English singer and songwriter. Butler came to prominence in the early 1980s as lead vocalist of the rock band the Psychedelic Furs and went on to found the alternative rock band Love Spit Love in the early 1990s, during a hiatus of the Psychedelic Furs. Butler began his solo career in 2006, while still being a member of the Psychedelic Furs, releasing the self-titled studio album Richard Butler.
Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare is a 1991 American slasher film and the sixth film in the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. It is a sequel to A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child and was originally intended to be the final installment of the series; Wes Craven's New Nightmare was released three years later but takes place outside the series canon. A canonical crossover/sequel, Freddy vs. Jason, was released in 2003. This was New Line Cinema's first 3D film release.

A competitive swimmer during her youth, Rubin was discovered by the Ford Modeling Agency and went on to model for Calvin Klein and became Ford International Model of the Year in 1984.
