Erlend Flornes Skaret (born 9 August 1976) is a Norwegian novelist.

He hails from Bremnes. [1] Publishing on Samlaget, he issued the novels Wroclaw (2011) and Lucida (2013), and then the novel Nomade on Samleren. [1] Wroclaw was set in Wrocław and was reviewed in several newspapers. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Lucida was partially set in Spain, and reviewed in slightly fewer newspapers. [8] [9] [10]

Vegard Sletten was a Norwegian newspaper editor. He worked in Stavanger Aftenblad from 1929 to 1945, except for the World War II years during parts of which he was imprisoned, and then in Verdens Gang from 1945. He edited the latter newspaper from 1967 to 1977, and chaired both the Norwegian Union of Journalists and the Norwegian Press Association. Like his father Klaus Sletten he was also a Nynorsk supporter.

The Nynorsk Literature Prize is awarded annually by Noregs Mållag, Det Norske Teatret and Det Norske Samlaget for the best book in either Nynorsk or dialect. The award is presented for the best novel, poetry, novellas, or drama in the past year.

The 56th Norwegian Biathlon Championships were held in Voss, Hordaland, Norway from 25 March to 30 March 2014 at the stadium Voss ski- og tursenter, arranged by Voss SSL. There were a total of 8 scheduled competitions: individual, sprint, mass start and relay races for men and women. The stadium had been fitted with new electronic targets. The targets were made from rubber rather than the conventional metal. Based on the sound made when the bullet hit the target, the computer system calculated exactly where the bullet hit. The targets were produced by Megalink AS.

Øyposten is a local Norwegian newspaper published in the municipality of Finnøy in Rogaland county. The newspaper was established in 1970 as a municipal newsletter, and it became an independent newspaper in 1999. Its offices are located in Judaberg. The paper is published in Nynorsk and it is edited by Jon Asgaut Flesjå.

Steinar Sivertsen is a Norwegian schoolteacher and literary critic. He graduated from the University of Oslo in 1971 as cand.philol. with a thesis on the poetry of Harald Sverdrup, and was appointed teacher at the Stavanger Cathedral School from 1973 to 2005.

The 2021 season was Viking's 3rd consecutive year in Eliteserien, and their 71st season in the top flight of Norwegian football. The club participated in the Eliteserien and the Norwegian Cup. It was the club's first season with Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim and Morten Jensen as managers. Viking ended the Eliteserien season in 3rd place, the club's first top-three finish since 2007.

Erlend Kaasa is a Norwegian novelist.
