Ernest Bediako Sampong (born June 1956) is a Ghanaian Pharmacist and Businessman. He is the Founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Ernest Chemist and was awarded The Man of The Year at EMY Africa Awards in 2020. [1] [2]
He completed his secondary education at Adisadel College in Cape Coast, Ghana. [3] [4] He attended the University of Ghana Medical School before leaving to study in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy. [5] [6]
Sampong is the current CEO and founder of Ernest Chemists Limited. The Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association in Ghana is led by him as its president. [7] [8] In 2009, He established NestPharma Company Limited in Freetown, Sierra Leone. [9]

Adisadel College, popularly known as "Adisco", is an Anglican boys' boarding school in Cape Coast, Ghana. It was established by Rt. Rev. Nathaniel T Hamlyn in 1910. Adisadel College is one of the oldest secondary schools in Ghana, and was ranked 10th out of the top 100 best high schools in Africa by Africa Almanac in 2003, based on quality of education, student engagement, strength and activities of alumni, school profile, internet and news visibility. Recently, they were ranked among the best senior high schools in Ghana per WAEC standards and is the best senior high schools in Cape Coast according to the YEN in 2024.
