Esplanade (Algonquin)

The Esplanade is a mixed-use development under construction on Randall Road next to the lifestyle center Algonquin Commons in Algonquin, Illinois. It is part of the Algonquin Corporate Campus. It is being built by commercial developers Centerville Properties. Currently, plans are for several restaurants located in the center and peripheral edges of the property, primarily along Randall Road and Corporate Parkway. Currently, 220 apartment units and 40,000 square feet of commercial space is being constructed. [1] Focal features include an arch over the main entrance, a namesake Esplanade was to connect the apartments and offices to the shops and restaurants in the front of the property, outdoor terraces in the office buildings, a community center near the apartments, and outdoor patio seating at the anchor restaurants, flanked by graceful ponds, fountains, and landscaping.

St. Lawrence is a neighbourhood located in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Algonquin Commons is an outdoor shopping mall, or lifestyle center, located along Randall Road in Algonquin, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago. The mall is located in Kane County, Illinois, just south of the McHenry County line. The center includes over 50 retailers and restaurants and 600,000 total square feet. The tenants in the center are varied, from discount clothiers, to specialty gift shops, to popular national fashion chains, to local independent shops, to big-box retailers and upscale restaurants. It was built in 2004.

The Algonquin Galleria Center is an outdoor shopping mall at the southeast corner of Randall Road and County Line Road in Algonquin, Illinois. Plans were for 1,000,000 sq ft (93,000 m2) of space with 150 stores and restaurants set over 110 acres (0.45 km2), but were never really completed. Similar to the existing Algonquin Commons across the street, it will be an outdoor mall, or lifestyle center, with stores spread out in multiple buildings, allowing shoppers to drive up to their favorite store. The Galleria is intended to be an upscale mall, not a typical power center it features; high quality aesthetics, striking architecture, one of the largest agglomerations of furniture retailers in the area,a cluster of restaurants, specialty stores, and a Bowlero bowling facility to serve as the center's entertainment complex.

Randall Road is a major north-south stroad and county highway in McHenry and Kane County, Illinois. The road is named after Norman Randall, a prominent area landowner in the 1930s. It serves as the western extent of the Fox Valley suburbs in the Chicago metropolitan area. Its southern terminus is in Aurora, Illinois, at Marseillaise Place. Its northern terminus is at a full four-way intersection at McHenry Avenue and James R. Rakow Road in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The road is 31.4 mi (50.5 km) in length.

The center includes over 80 retailers and restaurants spread over 418,000 square feet (38,800 m2). The center, which was developed by Jeffrey R. Anderson, was opened on September 5, 2002. The developer also built the Algonquin Commons, located 15 miles (24 km) north along Randall Road in Algonquin, which opened in 2004.
