The Estrela River is a river of Rio de Janeiro state in southeastern Brazil. It flows in Guanabara Bay.
Rio de Janeiro, or simply Rio, is the capital of the state of the same name, Brazil's third most populous state, and the second most populous city in Brazil, after São Paulo. Mariuccia Iacovino was a Brazilian violinist and instructor. A child prodigy on the violin, she studied in Brazil and Spain and performed internationally. At the end of World War II, she moved to Paris and performed as a soloist with the Cologne Orchestra. In 1964, she and the Quarteto da Guanabara received the first prize from the international Villa-Lobos String Quartet Competition and in 1966, she was awarded the Carlos Gomes Medal in Rio de Janeiro.

The telenovela is written by Ana Maria Moretzsohn, with the collaboration of Daisy Chaves, Izabel de Oliveira, Fernando Rebello, and Patrícia Moretzsohn.
