Eszter Lakos (born 8 March 1981) is a Hungarian politician of the Tisza Party who was elected member of the European Parliament in 2024. [1]
Lakos was born in Győr in 1981, [2] and graduated from Bocconi University in Milan with a PhD in international law and economics. [3] She worked in the field of research and innovation with the agencies of the European Union in Brussels for 10 years, [4] including as science attaché and head of the Hungarian RDI liaison office. [5]
Péter Medgyessy is a retired Hungarian politician who served as Prime Minister of Hungary from 27 May 2002 to 29 September 2004. On 25 August 2004,he resigned over disputes with coalition partner Alliance of Free Democrats,but remained as acting prime minister for a 30-day period as required by the Constitution,and a few additional days until his successor Ferenc Gyurcsány was confirmed by the National Assembly.

Momentum Movement is a centrist Hungarian political party founded in March 2017. It came to national prominence as a political association in January 2017 after organizing a petition about the Budapest bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics,calling for a public referendum on the matter. The petition,which gathered over 266,151 signatures,was successful,but the government cancelled the Olympic bid before a referendum could have been held. Momentum party candidates appeared on the ballot in most electoral districts in the 2018 Hungarian parliamentary election,promoting the replacement of the government of Viktor Orbán and advocating a new generation of political change in the country. The party obtained 3.06% of the votes,failed to reach the 5% threshold and did not get any seats in the National Assembly. In the 2019 European Parliament election in Hungary,the party obtained 9.86% and became the third largest party in the election. Two candidates of the party –Katalin Cseh and Anna Donáth –were elected to the European Parliament. In the 2022 Hungarian parliamentary election it ran under the list of the United for Hungary and entered parliament for the first time with 10 MPs.

Our Homeland Movement is a far-right Hungarian ultranationalist,irredentist and neo-fascist political party. It was founded by Ásotthalom mayor and former Jobbik Vice-President,LászlóToroczkai,along with other Jobbik dissidents who left the organization after the party's leadership moved away from its radical beginnings.
