Ethnikos Piraeus Volleyball Club is the volleyball department of the Greek multisport club of Ethnikos Piraeus, based in Piraeus. It is one of the oldest sport sections of the club with presence since 1920s. The colours of the club are blue and white and its home arena is the municipal gymnasium of Piraeus "Panagiotis Salpeas'

History

Ethnikos Piraeus took part in an unofficial championship of 1927 regulated by SEGAS. Since 1940s, Ethnikos takes part in the championships continuously. The 1974-75 season, it played for first time in A' Ethniki (1st-tier championship). So far has played in A' Ethniki five times (1975, 1976, 1980, 1981, 1990). [1] The last season, Ethnikos played in A2 Ethniki and finished in 4th place.

Ethnikos Piraeus is a Greek multisport club based in Piraeus. It was founded in 1923. The full name of the club is Ethnikos Omilos Filathlon Pireos/Phalirou or Ethnikos OFPF, which means National Club of Fans of Piraeus and Phalerum. Ethnikos has sections in football, basketball, volleyball, waterpolo, swimming. In most of these sports, Ethnikos has won titles and honours. The most successful department is by far the water polo, which has won many domestic and European titles. Daniel Batista Lima is a Greek former professional footballer of Cape Verdean descent who played as a forward. In the current season, Ethnikos Piraeus plays in the second division of the Greek basketball league system. The team's colours are white and blue.

The 2014–15 A1 Ethniki is the 84th season of the Greek premier Water polo league and the 29th of A1 Ethniki. The winner of the league was Olympiacos, which beat Panathinaikos in the league's playoff's finals. It was the first final of the eternal enemies in Water Polo Championship. The clubs Panionios and Nireas Lamias were relegated to the Greek A2 League.

The 2015–16 A1 Ethniki is the 85th season of the Greek premier Water polo league and the 30th of A1 Ethniki.

The 2017–18 Greek Volleyleague is the 50th national championship and the 8th under the Volleyleague name. It is the highest volleyball league in Greece. Twelve teams were participating in the 2017–18 season; PAOK was the defending champion. Olympiacos Piraeus won its 28th championship.

The Greek Volley League 2018–19 championship is the 51st National championship and the 9th under the Volleyleague name. The championship started on Saturday 20 October 2018 and the regular season is scheduled to complete on Saturday 30 March 2019.
