Eugene Entsir, professionally known as Eugy, is a Ghanaian, British singer, rapper, and songwriter. [2] He is best known for his 2016 International hit single "Dance For Me" alongside Mr Eazi, [3] which led to a 2017 MOBO Awards nomination. [4] In 2018, Eugy a record signed with Tinie Tempah's Disturbing London. [5]
Eugy started writing and recording music at around age 14, [6] having moved to London, UK from Ghana eight years prior. [5] He originally started as a grime MC moving more towards afrobeats after being inspired by highlife musicians he grew up listening to such as Daddy Lumba and Kojo Antwi. [7]
His career took off after Nigerian artist Davido reached out to him after seeing a freestyle video he posted online. This resulted in a collaboration and the release of Eugy's debut single, "'Chance", [8] in 2015. However, his profile increased drastically following the international success of 2016 single "Dance For Me" with Mr Eazi, which is considered by some to be 'UK Afrobeats' first bonafide smash'. [3]
Following a string of releases, Eugy signed with Disturbing London in April 2018 [5] whilst also supporting Wizkid at the sold out Afrorepublik Show at the O2 Arena. He followed this with the release of “Tick Tock” as well as "L.O.V.E" alongside Ghanaian artist King Promise. Eugy would go on to release hit single "LoLo", releasing in March 2019 which was followed by popular remixes by Columbian artist/songstress Farina & Tanzanian crooner Harmonize.

Elom Adablah, better known by his stage name E.L, is a Ghanaian Afrobeats musician, rapper, singer and producer.
Nana Richard Abiona, better known by his stage name Fuse ODG, is a Ghanaian-English singer, songwriter and rapper. He is best known for his singles "Antenna" and "Dangerous Love", and for featuring on Major Lazer's "Light It Up (Remix)".
Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, who is known professionally as Wizkid, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Born in the Ojuelegba suburb of Surulere, Lagos, Wizkid is a prominent voice in the emerging Afrobeats movement. His music is blend of Afrobeats, afropop, R&B, afrobeat, reggae, dancehall, and pop. He began recording music at the age of 11 and released a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed. In 2009, Wizkid signed a record deal with Banky W's Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E). He rose to the limelight after releasing "Holla at Your Boy", the lead single from his debut studio album, Superstar (2011), which also spawned the singles "Tease Me/Bad Guys" and "Don't Dull".
David Adedeji AdelekeOON, known professionally as Davido, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. He is regarded as one of the most important Afrobeats artists of the 21st century, and is credited alongside Burna Boy and Wizkid for popularizing the genre globally.
Frank Elinam Cobbinah, commonly known by his stage name Atumpan, is a Ghanaian afrobeats and dancehall singer. Cobbinah founded his own record label which mainly signs Afro beats artists.
Oluseye Desmond Sodamola, professionally known as Spinall, is a Nigerian disc jockey, record producer, and songwriter. He has released six studio albums and collaborated with artists that have included Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Asake among others. He has won numerous awards for his work, including All Africa Music Awards and The Beatz Awards. He is also the first Nigerian disc jockey to play at festivals such as Coachella, SXSW, and Glastonbury.
Faridah Demola Seriki, known professionally as Kah-Lo is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, best known for her song "Fasta" and for her work on "Rinse and Repeat" with British DJ Riton. The track was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the 59th Grammy Awards. Together, she and Riton have released "Betta Riddim", "Money" ft. Mr. Eazi and Davido, and Triple J hits "Fake ID" and "Ginger".
Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, better known by his stage name Mr Eazi, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record executive. He is the pioneer of Banku music, a fusion of sound he describes as a mixture of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns. Mr Eazi relocated to Kumasi in 2008 and enrolled at KNUST, where he began booking artists to perform at college parties. He showed interest in music after recording a guest verse on "My Life", a song that gained traction and became a popular record at KNUST. Mr Eazi released his debut mixtape About to Blow in 2013. Born in Bimbila, he became known through the influential Afrobeats/Hiplife duo R2Bees, which he formed with his cousin Faisal Hakeem in 2007. The last album by R2Bees, Site 15, from 2019, made it into the top 10 on the Billboard Chart. He has also worked with Ed Sheeran on Boa Me. In April 2019, Mugeez found his own record label, Extrial Music, to promote his solo projects as well as up-and-coming artists.

Afrobeats is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s. Afrobeats is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing majorly out of Nigeria. Genres such as hiplife, jùjú music, highlife and naija beats, among others, were amalgamated under the "Afrobeats" umbrella.
