The European Association for Distance Learning (EADL), [1] formerly the Association of European Correspondence Schools, is an international organization organized for the exchange of information and ideas on distance education. It comprises schools, institutions and individuals working in the field of distance education located in more than 20 European countries [2] including the majority of European Community states, plus Iceland, Norway, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey. Distance education Mode of delivering education to students who are not physically present

Distance education, also known as distance learning, is the education of students who may not always be physically present at a school. Traditionally, this usually involved correspondence courses wherein the student corresponded with the school via mail. Today, it usually involves online education. A distance learning programme can be completely distance learning, or a combination of distance learning and traditional classroom instruction. Massive open online courses (MOOCs), offering large-scale interactive participation and open access through the World Wide Web or other network technologies, are recent educational modes in distance education. The University of Atlanta was a private for-profit distance education headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. EDEN is a not-for-profit organisation, registered as a limited company under English law.

Asia e University Distance learning university in Malaysia

Asia e University (AeU) is an international university in Subang Jaya, Malaysia that offers on-campus, blended and online learning mode programmes. An institution set in Asia, by Asians, and for Asia – founded by the Asia Cooperation Dialogue foreign ministers.
