The Victoria men’s cricket team is an Australian first-class men's cricket team based in Melbourne,Victoria. The men’s team,which first played in 1851,represents the state of Victoria in the Marsh Sheffield Shield first-class competition and the Marsh One Day Cup 50-over competition.
Laurence John Nash was a Test cricketer and Australian rules footballer. Colin Mansfield Campbell was an Australian rules footballer who played for Essendon Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and a first-class cricketer,representing Tasmania.
The 2005–06 KFC Twenty20 Big Bash was the inaugural season of the official Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The six states were represented by six teams. The Queensland Bulls and the Tasmanian Tigers played in the first match,with no result being declared due to rain. The six teams were split into two groups of three,with Victoria finishing on top of Group A and New South Wales on top of Group B. It consisted of seven matches,including the final. The Victorian Bushrangers won the inaugural tournament,defeating the New South Wales Blues in the final at North Sydney Oval.

Scott Michael Boland is an Australian international cricketer. A right-arm fast-medium bowler,he also plays domestically for Victoria and the Melbourne Stars. Boland is one of a handful of indigenous Australians to be selected to play for Australia at international level and,as of December 2021,is only the second male Aboriginal player to have played Test cricket for Australia,after Jason Gillespie. Joseph Francis Wilson was an Australian sportsman who was prominent during the late 19th century. Originally from Launceston,Tasmania,he was educated at Launceston Grammar School and played Australian rules football and cricket for the school's firsts aged only 15. In addition to his school sports,Wilson played football for the Launceston Football Club in the Northern Tasmanian Football Association (NTFA) and cricket for several senior Launceston clubs. He established himself as one of Launceston's best all-round sportsmen by the time he completed high school;he was a prominent member of Launceston Football Club's consecutive NTFA premiership teams of 1888 and 1889,and he regularly represented Northern Tasmania in cricket and football.
On 11 and 12 February 1851,teams from Van Diemen's Land and Port Phillip District played the first cricket match between two Australian colonies,recognised in later years as the inaugural first-class cricket match in Australia. It took place at the Launceston Racecourse,known now as the NTCA Ground,in Tasmania. The match was incorporated into celebrations marking the separation of the Port Phillip District from New South Wales in 1851 as the colony of Victoria.
The Brunswick Cricket Club is based in Melbourne,Australia. The club was founded over 150 years ago and currently fields four senior men's teams in the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association (VSDCA) along with a senior women's team,all abilities and numerous junior sides.
Ashley Philip Chandrasinghe is an Australian domestic cricketer who plays first-class cricket for the Victoria in the Sheffield Shield. He is a left handed batsman.
