Evan Lilly (born March 26, 1989, in Sudbury, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Sarnia, Ontario. [1] He currently plays lead on Team Landan Rooney.

Career

Lilly won the 2005 Northern Ontario bantam championships and the 2007 Ontario high school championships. [2] He is also a four-time Northern Ontario junior finalist. [3]

Lilly has competed in four Canadian University Curling Championships. He played for the Western Mustangs as a second in 2009 and as a skip in 2010. [4] He also skipped the Toronto Varsity Blues in 2014 and 2015. [5] [6]

On the World Curling Tour, Lilly has won the 2016 KW Fall Classic and the 2017 Brantford Nissan Classic as the third for Richard Krell, [7] [8] and the 2018 Huron ReproGraphics Oil Heritage Classic and the 2018 Stroud Sleeman Cash Spiel as the lead for John Willsey. [9] [10]

Lily has also competed in three Ontario Provincial Championships. In 2016, he played second for Ian Dickie, finishing with a 3–7 record. [11] In 2018, he played third for Krell, finishing with a 2–3 record. [12] In 2020, he played lead for Willsey and finished with a 4–4 record. [13]

Personal life

Lilly's sister is curler Kendra Lilly. [14]

The 2019–20 curling season began in June 2019 and was scheduled to end in May 2020. However, the coronavirus pandemic declared in March 2020 resulted in the cancellation of events and the premature ending of the season.

John Willsey is a Canadian curler from Orillia, Ontario. He currently skips his own team out of Oakville, Ontario.

Connor Lawes is a Canadian curler from Sundridge, Ontario. He currently plays third on Team Landan Rooney.

The winning Mike McEwen rink represented Ontario at the 2023 Tim Hortons Brier on home soil in London, Ontario where they finished fourth place losing in the 3 vs. 4 Page Playoff game to Wild Card #1 6–3.

The 2023 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the provincial women's curling championship for Southern Ontario, was held from January 23 to 29 at The Plex in Port Elgin, Ontario. The winning Rachel Homan rink represented Ontario at the 2023 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canada's national women's curling championship in Kamloops, British Columbia where they made the Championship round losing to Nova Scotia 7–6 in an extra end.

The 2024 Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the provincial women's curling championship for Southern Ontario, was held from January 22 to 26 at FlightExec Centre in Dorchester, Ontario. The winning Danielle Inglis represented "Ontario–Inglis" at the 2024 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canada's national women's curling championship in Calgary, Alberta. The event was held in conjunction with the 2024 Ontario Tankard, the provincial men's curling championship. Both events are held together in non-Olympic years.

Alex Robichaud is a Canadian curler from Fredericton, New Brunswick. He currently plays third on Team Rene Comeau. He also plays mixed doubles with Melissa Adams.
