Sarah Jean Burke was a Canadian freestyle skier who was a pioneer of the superpipe event. She was a five-time Winter X Games gold medallist, and won the world championship in the halfpipe in 2005. She successfully lobbied the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to have the event added to the Olympic program for the 2014 Winter Olympics. She was considered a medal favourite in the event. Burke died following a training accident in Utah in 2012.
Sébastien Toutant is a Canadian snowboarder. He is the Olympic gold medallist in men's big air snowboarding at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Toutant was twice the gold medal winner in slopestyle at the X Games in 2011 and 2013. Isabel Atkin is a British-American freestyle skier who competes internationally for Great Britain. She won bronze in women's slopestyle at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, the first British Olympic medal in skiing.
Andri Ragettli is a Swiss freestyle skier. He has won ten world cup titles and five crystal globes, including slopestyle in 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2022, as well as big air in 2019. At the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing he qualified in first place for slopestyle finals but ended up 4th in the end.

Alexander Hall, known colloquially as A Hall, is an American freestyle skier from Fairbanks, Alaska. At the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, while competing for team USA, Hall won the Olympic gold medal in Freestyle skiing – Men's slopestyle.
