Evergreen Terrace is a five-piece American metalcore band from Jacksonville, Florida. Formed in 1999, they are named after the street inhabited by the Simpsons. The band's sixth and latest studio album Dead Horses was released on December 10, 2013, via Rise Records.
Formed in 1999 by Josh James (guitar), Andrew Carey (vocals), Josh "Woody" Willis (guitar), Josh Smith (bass) and Christopher Brown (drums), the band released one Demo-EP and a Split-EP together with Cordelle within the first year of being a band. Within 8 months of the beginning of the band Woody and Josh Smith were replaced by Craig Chaney (guitar/vocals) and Jason Southwell (bass). In 2001 their debut-album Losing All Hope Is Freedom was released via Indianola Records on July 31. [1] Under the same label they released a Split-EP together with xOne Fifthx, on May 20, 2002, titled XOne FifthX vs. Evergreen Terrace . Shortly after the release of the split Josh James (guitar) joined xOne Fifthx and continued playing with Evergreen Terrace.
Later in 2002 they signed with Eulogy Recordings and released their second studio-album Burned Alive by Time on November 26. After a number of long tours they released a cover album titled Writer's Block in February 2004. The album includes songs from bands like U2, Smashing Pumpkins, and Tears for Fears. In July they released At Our Worst which contained live performances, as well as B-Sides from Burned Alive by Time and the 4 tracks from the self-released Demo-EP. At Our Worst was released on Hand of Hope Records, a label started by drummer Chris Brown and Eulogy owner John Wylie. 2004 was also the year the band started touring outside of USA and Canada.
In 2005 they released a live-DVD called Hotter! Wetter! Stickier! Funner! [2] The same year they released their third studio-album entitled Sincerity Is an Easy Disguise in This Business on June 21. Shortly after, drummer Christopher Brown left the band and was replaced by Kyle Mims. The next few years were spent touring non-stop, worldwide. Including tours with As I Lay Dying, Rise Against, Hatebreed and more.
In February 2007 they signed under High Impact Recordings, a Metal Blade Records-sub label founded by As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis. Later on July 24, their fourth album Wolfbiker was released. Evergreen Terrace toured with As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, and Still Remains in early 2008. [3] In addition to this tour, the band played every date of the 2008 Warped Tour. [4]
In June 2008 the band released Blowing Chunks through Hand of Hope Records, which contained two unreleased songs from the Wolfbiker studio sessions. [5] It is available on 7" vinyl and digital download only.
On September 25, 2009, they released their fifth album Almost Home , featuring guest vocals from Tim Lambesis on the track "God Rocky, Is This Your Face?". In December 2009, they went on their Almost Homeless tour together with For the Fallen Dreams and Asking Alexandria. For 2010 the band was mostly on tour. In January, the band released a cover of the song "Everlong," originally performed by the band Foo Fighters. [6] In May, they went on their Cheer Up Emu Kid tour in Australia, together with Josh's side project Casey Jones and Dropsaw. During that summer they were also playing with other bands like Caliban, Death Before Dishonor and As I Lay Dying on With Full Force in Germany.
In December 2010 they attended the European Persistence Tour 2010, together with Sick of it All, Casey Jones, Unearth and others.
Summer 2011 found Evergreen Terrace on tour with Bury Your Dead, For the Fallen Dreams, and several other bands.
In the fall of 2012, the band announced via their Facebook page that Josh James has left Evergreen Terrace to play full-time with Stick To Your Guns, ex-bassist Jason Southwell has rejoined the band, [7] and that they have split with Metal Blade Records. They recently signed a label deal with Rise Records. [8] On October 22, 2013, the band announced over Facebook, that their sixth record, titled Dead Horses, will be released under Rise Records on December 10, 2013.
Brad Moxey was seriously injured on February 8, 2015, causing the band to cancel their upcoming tour. [9]
On June 1, 2015, Andrew Carey announced he had quit Evergreen Terrace after 15 years as their vocalist. [10] A statement from Andrew Carey says "I quit Evergreen Terrace. As Danny Glover would often say in the hit movies from the 90's, Lethal Weapon 1, 2, and 3, 'I'm getting too old for this shit.' Thanks to everyone who supported us throughout the years." [11]
In a statement from Evergreen Terrace on Facebook, they say they have been playing shows without Andrew for 'quite a while'. They cite Andrew's focus on a career in nursing as the reason he hasn't been playing shows with the band but are unclear if his focus on his career is also the reason for him deciding to leave Evergreen Terrace. [12]
As of September 2016, Andrew "Drew" Carey is back in the band. A comment to the band's August 10, 2016 Facebook status update "Riffs... Happening..." made by the band on September 9, 2016, states "Did I mention Andrew is back on vocals?". On April 22, 2017, the band announced in addition to Carey that original drummer Christoper Brown was back in the band, although his return would prove to be short-lived. [13] In 2018, the ensemble announced that they are working on a new album. [14]
In July 2022, the band started a European tour but bassist Jason Southwell and drummer Brad Moxey were not present. When asked about their absence, the other band members responded by stating that Southwell was still in the band, but sitting the tour out, and that Moxey had "quit music;" ex-Yellowcard drummer Longineu W. Parsons III was hired as Moxey's replacement. [15] On August 3, Moxey released a statement via Lambgoat confirming the band's statement, saying he was focusing on his family. [16]
In September 2024, the band withdrew as the headliner from Shell Shock II after the organizers announced that Kyle Rittenhouse would appear as a special guest. The Orlando, Florida concert is described as a "PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) Charity and Awareness event to support our military Veterans and first responders." In a statement, the band indicated they would be personally contributing to unnamed veterans' causes. [17] [18]

Hopesfall is an American post-hardcore band from Charlotte, North Carolina, formed in 1998. They are currently signed to Equal Vision Records. The band dissolved in 2008 after all members, with the exception of singer Jay Forrest, left the band. Following this, the lineup of the band's first two albums got together temporarily and played reunion shows in 2011. The band finally reformed with the majority of their last album's members and original drummer Adam Morgan in 2016 with a new label Equal Vision Records. Arbiter was released on July 13, 2018.
Stretch Arm Strong is a hardcore punk band from Columbia, South Carolina, and the flagship band for We Put Out Records. They were primarily active from 1992 to 2005. They are often mistaken as a Christian band for having been on Solid State Records, but as lead singer Chris McLane has stated in interviews, “we're not a Christian band, we never were a Christian band and we never professed to be a Christian band.” Vocalist Chris McLane appears on Zao's The Lesser Lights of Heaven DVD. In 2020, the band was announced to perform at Furnace Fest 2020.
He Is Legend is an American alternative metal band from Wilmington, North Carolina. It was founded in 2003 by high school friends. The band's current lineup is frontman Schuylar Croom, guitarist Adam Tanbouz, bassist Matty Williams, and drummer Jesse Shelley. Originally known for their "blistering though surprisingly buoyant hybrid of metalcore and screamo", they left their metalcore influences behind with the 2014 album Heavy Fruit, which introduced elements of sludge metal and stoner rock on a foundation of hard rock.
Every Time I Die was an American metalcore band from Buffalo, New York, formed in 1998. For most of the band's career, the line-up was centred on brothers Keith (vocals) and Jordan Buckley (guitar), as well as rhythm guitarist Andy Williams, with bassist Stephen Micciche also being in the band for a cumulative 15 of the band's 24 years. After spending the first decade of their career on the Ferret Music label, they signed with Epitaph Records in 2008 and remained there until their split in early 2022. Every Time I Die released nine studio albums, with their final album Radical being released in October 2021.

Sincerity Is an Easy Disguise in This Business is the third full-length album released by the melodic hardcore band Evergreen Terrace. This is the last album to feature drummer Christopher Brown. The song "Brave Reality" originally appeared on the cover album Writer's Block. A music video was released for the song "New Friend Request", a first for the band.
Oh, Sleeper is an American metalcore band from Fort Worth, Texas that formed in 2006 with former members of Terminal. In over a decade's span, Oh, Sleeper has released four full-length albums, two EPs, and toured worldwide as an opening act. After independently releasing The Titan EP and traveling in the full Van's Warped Tour 2013, the band went on hiatus to allow clean vocalist and lead guitarist Shane Blay to join As I Lay Dying members in starting California-based metal band Wovenwar. The band's fourth full-length album, Bloodied / Unbowed, was released on July 12, 2019.
Emmure is an American metalcore band formed in 2003. Originally based in New Fairfield, Connecticut, before moving to Queens, New York, the group has released eight albums, with their first public release being a 2006 EP entitled The Complete Guide to Needlework.
Stick to Your Guns is an American hardcore punk band from Orange County, California. Members of the band include lead vocalist Jesse Barnett, bassist Andrew Rose, guitarists Chris Rawson and Josh James, and drummer Adam Galindo. They are currently signed with SharpTone Records.
The Faceless are an American technical death metal band from the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles. They released their debut album, Akeldama, in November 2006, and a follow-up, Planetary Duality, in November 2008. The band's third album, Autotheism, was released on August 14, 2012. On December 1, 2017, the band released their fourth album, In Becoming a Ghost.
Death by Stereo is an American hardcore punk band formed in Orange County, California circa 1998 by frontman Efrem Schulz. They are well known for their energetic performances and intricate guitar work. Their name can be attributed to the 1987 horror film The Lost Boys, in which Corey Haim speaks the line.
The Ghost Inside, formerly known as A Dying Dream, is an American metalcore band from El Segundo, California. Formed in 2004, the band currently consists of vocalist Jonathan Vigil, guitarists Zach Johnson and Chris Davis, bassist Jim Riley and drummer Andrew Tkaczyk.
Chelsea Grin is an American deathcore band from Salt Lake City, Utah. Formed in 2007, the group have released two EPs and seven full-length albums. Since 2018, no founding members remain in the band. Despite not being in the original line-up, bassist David Flinn has been the only constant member on all the group's studio albums.
Kid Gorgeous is an American metalcore band from Buffalo, New York, United States. The group features a conglomerate mix of members from past and current bands Buried Alive (band), Every Time I Die and Anterrabae. Their first album, Friday Night Knife Fight, was released in May 2001. Their second studio album, This Feeling Gets Old, came out in June 2003. Both efforts were released on Southern California indie label Uprising Records. The band originally called it quits in 2003 with their last show being with Snapcase and Every Time I Die in November of that year. With a couple one-off reunion shows since then, the band has recently resurfaced with news in March 2010 that they were going to record and tour briefly in the summer. The band started recording an EP in December 2010 at GCR Audio in Buffalo, New York with Jay Zubricky and debuted two of the songs at their show with Every Time I Die on December 29, 2010. Subsequently, on December 30, 2010, the band released the song "Mermaid With A Switchblade" via their Facebook and Myspace pages. On February 1, 2012, Eulogy Recordings announced that it will be releasing the EP titled "Blue Romance" which includes three new tracks, a re-recorded classic, and a cover on June 5, 2012. It was announced via the band's Twitter and Facebook pages that Every Time I Die frontman Keith Buckley has lent vocals to a cover of Judas Priest's "Living After Midnight" which will be a bonus track on the EP.
Issues was an American metalcore band based in Atlanta, Georgia, founded in 2012. The band's final lineup consisted of guitarist and vocalist AJ Rebollo, bassist and vocalist Skyler Acord, and drummer Josh Manuel. They were known for their combination of metalcore, nu metal, pop and contemporary R&B.
Crown the Empire is an American metalcore band from Dallas, Texas formed in 2010. The band comprises vocalist Andrew "Andy Leo" Rockhold, guitarist Brandon Hoover, bassist Hayden Tree, and drummer Jeeves Avalos. They are currently signed to Rise Records and have released five studio albums. Their most recent studio album, Dogma, was released on April 28, 2023.
