The Reformatorisch Dagblad is a Dutch Protestant newspaper with a circulation of around 60,000, headquartered in Apeldoorn. The conservative newspaper was founded in 1971 and is associated with the Reformed Political Party. It is one of only a handful daily national papers remaining in the Netherlands.
Alphonsus Petrus Johannes Mathildus Maria "Fons" van der Stee was a Dutch politician of the defunct Catholic People's Party (KVP) and later the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) party and economist.
Johannes Samuel Petrus "Johan" Kraag was a Surinamese politician who served as the President of Suriname from 29 December 1990, until 16 September 1991.
Hendrick Rudolf "Henk" Chin A Sen was a Surinamese politician who served as the President of Suriname from 15 August 1980 until 4 February 1982.
Curaçao Centre for Correction and Detention is the only prison on the Caribbean island of Curaçao. Since the construction of the prison in 1960 the prison has also been known as the Koraal Specht-prison, after the name of the neighbourhood it is located in. After renovations around the year 2001 the prison changed its name to Bon Futuro prison, meaning good future. At the Dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles on 10 October 2010 the prison changed its name once more and became the Sentro di Detenshon i Korekshon Kòrsou. During its existence the prison has been noted for ill treatment of prisoners and poor conditions. International, Dutch, Antillean and Curaçaoan investigations have found problems frequently. As of December 2014 the facility holds around 400 prisoners.
William Millerson was a Curaçaoan politician and Dutch karateka. He had an 8th Dan in karate, and was the winner of multiple European Karate Championships medals. Between 1998 and 2014 he was first Vice-President of the World Karate Federation. In 2011 Millerson was invested as a Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau.
Bernard "Ben" Denzil Whiteman is a Curaçaoan politician. He was Prime Minister of Curaçao from September 2015 to December 2016. He succeeded Ivar Asjes after Asjes resigned after he lost the confidence of his party. Whiteman was sworn in as Prime Minister on 1 September 2015. He also was the Minister of Public Health, Environment and Nature since 31 December 2012 in the Asjes-Cabinet and the Hodge-Cabinet before taking the post, retaining the position after becoming prime minister.
Hensley Felix Koeiman is a Curaçaoan politician who was Prime Minister of Curaçao between 23 December 2016 and 24 March 2017. A member of the Partido MAN, he was Minister of Social Affairs, Employment and Welfare in the Gerrit Schotte cabinet. Afterwards Koeiman served in the Estates of Curaçao from the 2012 general election until his appointment as Prime Minister. Since 29 May 2017 he has been Minister of Social Affairs, Employment and Welfare in the Eugene Rhuggenaath cabinet.
Evelyna Christina "Evelyn" Wever-Croes is an Aruban politician and current Prime Minister of Aruba, serving since November 2017. She is the first woman to hold this office. She is a member of the People's Electoral Movement (MEP) and has been the leader of the party since 2011.
Dominico Felipe "Don" Martina is a Curaçaoan politician. He served two terms as Prime Minister of the Netherlands Antilles. His first term lasted from November 1979 to October 1984 and his second term from January 1986 to July 1988.
Ivan Steve "Steven" Martina is a Curaçaoan businessman and politician of the Partido MAN. He is Minister of Economic Development in the cabinet of Eugene Rhuggenaath since 22 May 2020 and served in the same position from 2 June 2017 to 21 February 2019. He previously served as Minister of Economic Development and vice Prime Minister in the cabinet of Daniel Hodge between 31 December 2012 and 7 June 2013.
Gilmar Simon "Pik"Pisas is a Curaçaoan politician of the Movement for the Future of Curaçao. He was Prime Minister of Curaçao between 24 March 2017 and 29 May 2017. In addition, Pisas became the Prime Minister of Curaçao in June 2021.
Pedro José Atacho is a Curaçaoan politician. He was a member of the Party for the Restructured Antilles. During his political career he was Minister of Justice of the Netherlands Antilles from 1994 to 1998. He served in the Estates of the Netherlands Antilles, including a period as Speaker between 2007 and 2010. After the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles in 2010 Atacho became a member of the Estates of Curaçao.
Jaime Mercelino Saleh is a Dutch Antillean politician and former judge. He was a judge on the Joint Court of Justice of the Netherlands Antilles from 1974 to 1990 and was its president from 1979. Saleh subsequently served as Governor of the Netherlands Antilles between 1990 and 2002.
