The Kingdom of the Netherlands, commonly known as simply the Netherlands, is a sovereign state and constitutional monarchy with 98% of its territory and population in Western Europe and with several small West Indian island territories in the Caribbean.

Daniel Hodge is a Curaçaoan politician who served as the third Prime Minister of Curaçao. He was sworn in on 31 December 2012 by Acting Governor Adèle van der Pluijm-Vrede, replacing Stanley Betrian, who led an interim government in the last months of 2012. On 27 March 2013, Hodge lodged the resignation of his cabinet and continued in a demissionary capacity until a new cabinet was formed on 7 June 2013. Hodge used to be director of the Postspaarbank Curaçao. Hodge was elected as the new leader of the Partido Antia Restruktura (PAR) on June 25th 2013, replacing Emily de Jongh-Elhage who resigned in late 2012.

Dr. Moises Frumencio da Costa Gomez was the president of the first Governing Council (Regeringsraad) of the Netherlands Antilles and is often referred to as the first Prime Minister.

2012 Curaçao general election

General elections were held in Curaçao on 19 October 2012. Early elections for the Curaçao island council were necessary as the Cabinet-Schotte lost its majority in the Estates of Curaçao. The elections were the first of the Curaçao after obtaining the status of country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands upon the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles in 2010. The election saw six parties obtain one or more of the 21 seats, with Sovereign People and Movement for the Future of Curaçao both winning five.

Evelyn Wever-Croes 4th Prime Minister of Aruba

Evelyna Christina "Evelyn" Wever-Croes is an Aruban politician and current Prime Minister of Aruba, serving since November 2017. She is the first woman to hold this office. She is a member of the People's Electoral Movement (MEP) and has been the leader of the party since 2011.

Pauldrick François Teodoric"Paul"Croes is an Aruban politician, who served as the Minister of Social Affairs, Youth and Labor in the second Eman Cabinet from 2013 to 2017. As a member of the Aruban People's Party, he was a member of the Estates of Aruba between 2009 and 2013 and served as its President from 2010 onwards.

Aletta Beaujon Curaçaoan/Aruban psychologist and poet

Aletta Beaujon was a Dutch poet and psychologist from the Netherlands Antilles. Born in Curaçao and later living in the Netherlands and Aruba, she published poems in Dutch, English and Papiamento, while working as a clinical psychologist. Unpublished poems were discovered after her death and released in 2009.

Maria Irausquin-Wajcberg was an Aruban politician. In 1963 she became the first woman to be elected to Aruba Island Council.

Laura Simona Wernet-Paskel was an Aruban teacher, writer, and politician. She was the first female political candidate in Aruba, running for office three times beginning in 1949.

Nolda Cira Römer-Kenepa is a Dutch historian and archivist. She served as acting governor of Curaçao from 2013 to 2019.

General elections were held in the Netherlands Antilles on 15 November 1954.
