"Everything Black" is a song by Persian American electronic/alternative rock music producer Armond Arabshahi, better known by his stage name Unlike Pluto, and features Philadelphia-based African American vocalist Mike Taylor. [2] The single was released on the Canadian label Monstercat on March 10, 2017 and is Arabshashi's fifth release on the label. [3]
Uproxx described the song as "jazzy and dark," with "a slinky, almost joyful groove." [4] The song incorporates elements of R&B, jazz, funk, and soul. [5]
Billboard described Mike Taylor's vocal performance as a comparison to Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones. [6] Noiseporn described the song as "everything a modern, all-black wearing, club crawling millennial like myself could ask for." [7] EDM.com proclaimed Taylor's vocals as "superb". [8]
On release, Arabshahi announced the Everything Black Tour, which covered much of North America. [9] The tour began on March 31 in Ottawa. [6]

Armond Arabshahi(ɑr-mawnd airab-shɑh-hee), known by his stage name Unlike Pluto, is an American singer, songwriter, music producer, and former DJ. He is mainly known for his song "Everything Black", released under the record label Monstercat in 2017, which he produced with Philadelphia-based vocalist and DJ Mike Taylor. He is also known for his Pluto Tapes series of albums, a project he started on May 30, 2018, where he challenges himself to release one song per week, experimenting with different genres and developing his style. Besides the Pluto Tapes, he also has a side project called Why Mona with stage actress and singer, Joanna Jones. Another side project of his is Like Saturn, where he produces relaxing and emotional Lofi instrumentals.
Luke Shipstad, better known by his stage name Kuuro, is an American DJ and electronic music producer. The Kuuro project was formerly a production duo that also included Dutch producer Jordin Post. They revealed themselves as the producers behind the name in May 2017 during an episode of Monstercat's Call of the Wild radio program.
