Exmortus is an American thrash metal band formed in Whittier, California in 2002. [1] The group has incorporated elements of progressive, death and neo-classical metal into its sound, [1] and their lyrics mostly deal with battles and war. [2]

William Caldwell "Rocky" Gray is an American drummer and guitarist. He is a guitarist for the bands Living Sacrifice, Even Devils Die, and Creepy Carnival, and the drummer for Soul Embraced, Mourningside, Machina, and We Are the Fallen. He played drums for Evanescence from 2003–2007 and Fatal Thirteen from 2006–2014, and was a guitarist for Shredded Corpse (1991–1998) and Solus Deus (2012–2017). Gray also released a solo album titled Accursed (2015).
Anaal Nathrakh are a British extreme metal band formed in 1999 in Birmingham by multi-instrumentalist Mick Kenney and vocalist Dave Hunt. They are currently signed to Metal Blade Records. The band's name is Irish for snake's breath and was taken from Merlin's Charm of Making in John Boorman's 1981 film Excalibur. The band recorded two demos in 1999, which were later released as an album.

Lyrically the band tend to focus on horror motifs, dark occult and religious themes and apocalyptic events. They have recorded their albums Malevolent Rapture and Sons of the Jackal in the well known Stage One Studio with producer Andy Classen. The special edition of their 2008 release Cult of the Dead comes with an item unique in metal merchandising, being a cheese block emblazoned with their logo. This is a nod to their Dutch origins.

Hatriot is an American metal band formed in 2011 by former singer Steve "Zetro" Souza (Exodus) and guitarist Kosta Varvatakis. The band's current lineup includes Varvatakis and Miguel Esparza on guitars, Souza's sons Cody Souza on bass/lead vocals, and Nick Souza on drums. They were under contract with Massacre Records from 2012-2024. Starting off initially as Northern Californian favorites, they have made waves internationally with several tours. In summer of 2013, they played the Ernie Ball stage at Vans Warped tour. Later that year, they performed at Eindhoven Metal Meeting in Holland alongside Accept, Death Angel, Sabaton, Therion and many more.
Bloodlined Calligraphy is an American metalcore band, infusing death metal and thrash metal. Hailing from Ypsilanti, Michigan, the band started making music in 1996 under the name Friction. In 1999, the band changed its name to Bloodlined Calligraphy and the band's lineup consisted of Matt Carter (drums), Matt Fleming, Ryan Hampton (guitar), Eric Cargile, and Josh Colvin (guitar). The band signed to Selah Records and, in 2002, they released their first full-length album, Say Hi to the Bad Guy. In 2003, Fleming left the band amicably. The band conducted a nationwide search for their next vocalist, with Fleming having a large say in who should replace him as the band's vocalist. The band asked Michigan native Ally French, who was fronting a touring metalcore band in Ohio at the time, to audition. Ally had sung clean vocals alongside Fleming for several of Bloodlined Calligraphy's live shows and was Fleming's favored replacement. The band appointed Ally as their vocalist and played their first live shows together in late 2003. During the band's second show with Ally at the front, the group caught the eyes and ears of Jason Dunn, owner of Los Angeles-based record labels Facedown Records and Strike First Records. The group became part of Strike First Records and released an EP in 2004 titled The Beginning of the End, which was recorded by Mike Hasty, guitarist of another female-fronted, Michigan-based hardcore band, Walls of Jericho. Shortly after the album's release, guitarist Josh Colvin was replaced by Shawn Williams.
Broken Flesh was a Christian death metal band, formed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 2004. The band released three studio albums, Forever In Flames in 2009, Warbound in 2013, and Broken Flesh in 2015. They released one extended play, Stripped, Stabbed, and Crucified, in 2012.

Diocletian is a New Zealand extreme metal band from Auckland. Formed in 2004, the band split in 2015. Its lineup then featured Brendan Southwell, L. Muir, C. Sinclair (drums) and J. Baldwin (guitars). The band's 2015 album, Gesundrian, was featured as number 15 on Pitchfork's list of "The Best Metal Albums of 2014".
