Ezinne Akudo Anyaoha(born 17 May 1990) is a Nigerian lawyer and beauty queen.

Early life and education

Ezinne Akudo Anyaoha [1] was born on 17 May 1990 [2] in Imo State, southeastern Nigeria. She graduated from Federal Government Girls' College, Owerri, Imo State, and earned a law degree at Abia State University, subsequently completing the mandatory National Youth Service Corp in Ogun State, located in the southwestern region of Nigeria. [3]

Career

In 2013, Akudo won the Miss Nigeria beauty pageant.

In 2015, Akudo started her career as a lawyer. [4] and set up a rape crisis centre through her non-governmental organization; The Eight Foundation based in Lagos, Nigeria. [5] She has also been active in campaigning against sexual violence. [6]

In 2018, Akudo was appointed Creative Director of the Miss Nigeria Pageant. [7]

Federal Government Girls' College, Owerri is a secondary school in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. It is a model secondary school for girls, which was established in 1973. The first principal of the school was Ms. Sheila Everard, the current principal is Mrs. Obiagwu Francisca Chinwe. Being one of the country's unity schools, it was founded after the Nigerian civil war to "promote integration among ethnic groups and to discourage divisions and tribalism". Local languages such as Igbo were taught at the institution. The school has graduates excelling in all fields of endeavor around the world in Medicine, Education, Engineering, Legal, Optometry, Economics to name a few. Candidates from eighteen states of Nigeria competed for the title and the representative of Edo State, Rachael Onuwa Ikekhuame, was named the winner and received one million Nigerian naira cash prize as a reward. She then represented the country at the Miss Grand International 2016 pageant in Las Vegas, United States, but she was unplaced.
