FBD 2023 was an inter-county Gaelic football competition in the province of Connacht, the successor to the FBD Insurance League. [1] All five Connacht county teams participate. [2] All games took place at the University of Galway Connacht GAA Airdome under the air-supported dome for the second year in a row. [3] [4] Mayo were the winners, for the first time since 2012. [5]

The competition is a straight knockout. Drawn games go to extra-time and possible penalty shoot-out. [6] [7]

The Connacht Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition for the senior county teams of Connacht GAA. All of the counties of Connacht participate in the championship, as well as counties London and New York. The winning team receives the Nestor Cup.

The FBD, also called the FBD Insurance League, FBD Connacht League, the Connacht FBD Football League or FBD Insurance Connacht GAA Senior Football Competition, is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by Connacht GAA and sponsored by FBD. The participants are the five county teams.

It is one of the four provincial competitions of the 2018 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Unlike previous seasons, where the Connacht champions earned a place in the quarter-finals, this year's winners advanced to the new "All-Ireland Super 8s".

All games took place at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence under the new air-supported dome, the first inter-county games to take place under a roof.

The 2022 Connacht Senior Football Championship was the 2022 iteration of the Connacht Senior Football Championship organised by Connacht GAA.
