History

One of the largest teams in the principality, founded in 1981, although it has participated in the Andorran league since 1999. After two years in the second division, the 2001/02 season debuted in the top category. His career has been ascending and after being runner-up in 2005, he won the title in 2006 and 2007.

They made their debut in European competition by playing in the Intertoto Cup in the summer of 2005. Despite drawing (1-1) in their debut match against SK Sturm Graz, they were clearly beaten 5-0 on Austrian soil.

After winning the league, in the 2006/07 season they debuted in the UEFA Cup, being eliminated again in the first round.

After retaining the league title, the 2007/08 season made history by becoming the first Andorran club to compete in the UEFA Champions League. His rival, FC Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova, beat him in the first round by 0-3 and 2-0.

Unfortunately, at the end of the 2008-09 season he was downgraded. After two seasons in Segona Divisió the team finished second in the 2010-11 season and was promoted (promotion ineligible - Lusitanos B finished champion). In the 2011-12 season, FC Ranger in the First Division, after a bad campaign, was relegated again in the Segona Division.

Now, in 2024 after the arrival of the Mexican Marco Fabián as president and player after 4 months of work and integration into the club with Mexican players, the team was promoted to the first division again and now has the possibility of fighting for the title. its league and the UEFA Champions League.
