Stoneham Mountain Resort is a ski resort, located north of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, in the municipality of Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury. It has a peak elevation of 593 metres above sea level and a vertical drop of 345 metres. There are 41 trails covering 333 hectares over four mountains. Nineteen trails are available for night skiing, consisting in the largest network of night skiing in Canada. The resort is owned by Resorts of the Canadian Rockies. In 2017, the Poma double ski lift and Doppelmayr T-Bar were removed. A new ski lift was built to replace them, a Doppelmayr 4-CLF fixed-grip lift with loading conveyor. Shiho Nakashima is a Japanese snowboarder who competed at the 2006 Winter Olympics and had two World Cup victories. She also competed at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Women's Half-pipe. Her motto is "Continuity is power."

Jonathan Cheever is an American snowboarder. He is an athlete on the U.S. Snowboarding's SBX A Team. In 2011, he was named the U.S. snowboarding champion and took two World Cup 2nd-place finishes at Stoneham Mountain Resort in Quebec and Chiesa in Valmalenco in Italy. Becoming the second American male ever in his discipline to win the world cup. In 2011, he was ranked third in the world in snowboard cross (SBX). Still no U.S. man has won a FIS World Cup title in SBX.

The 2013–14 FIS Snowboard World Cup is a multi race tournament over a season for snowboarding. The World Cup was organised by the FIS which also runs world cups and championships in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combined, and freestyle skiing. The FIS Snowboarding World Cup consisted of the parallel slalom, snowboard cross and the halfpipe. The men's side of the world cup also consisted of a big air competition.

Christy Prior is a snowboarder from New Zealand. Born in Okehampton, Devon, UK, she competed for New Zealand at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

The 2014–15 FIS Snowboard World Cup was the 21st edition of the FIS Snowboard World Cup, organised by International Ski Federation. The FIS Snowboarding World Cup consisted of the parallel slalom, parallel giant slalom, snowboard cross, halfpipe, slopestyle and big air.

Michael Ciccarelli is a Canadian snowboarder. He hails from Ancaster, Ontario and is a member of the Canadian National Slopestyle/Big Air Team. Coming from a family of skiers, Mikey has been snowboarding since the age of six, when his parents finally relented to his begging and bought him a board. Mikey grew up on the slopes of the Georgian Peaks Ski Club in Thornbury Ontario. Mikey's career was catapulted in 2012 when he won the gold medal for slopestyle at the Winter Youth Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria. His pro resume highlights consist of a win at the 2015 Stoneham World Cup, a 2nd-place finish at the 2017 Burton US Open, a 2nd-place finish at the 2016 Fenway Park U.S. Grand Prix/World Cup Big Air, a 3rd-place finish at the 2015 Cardona World Cup, and a 4th-place finish at the 2017 Air & Style in Innsbruck. Mikey rides in the memory of his father, who he lost to cancer in October 2014.
