Richard Fabian Stang (born 19 August 1955) is a Norwegian lawyer and a politician for the Conservative Party. [1] He was Mayor of the city of Oslo from 2007 until 2015.
Stang was born in Oslo. He is the son of Norwegian actress Wenche Foss [2] and entrepreneur Thomas Stang.
Stang was first elected Mayor of Oslo in 2007,and reelected in 2011. [3]
In 2012 Stang spoke out in favour of increased immigration. [4]
Stang is a supporter of subsidies and perks for electric cars in the city. [5] [6]
In 2015 Stang lost the mayoral election to Socialist Marianne Borgen. [1] [7]

The Oslo Metro is the rapid transit system of Oslo,Norway,operated by Sporveien T-banen on contract from the transit authority Ruter. The network consists of five lines that all run through the city centre,with a total length of 85 kilometres (53 mi),serving 101 stations of which 17 are underground or indoors. In addition to serving 14 out of the 15 boroughs of Oslo,two lines run to Kolsås and Østerås,in the neighbouring municipality of Bærum. In 2016,the system had an annual ridership of 118 million.
The Holmenkollen Line is an 11.4-kilometre-long (7.1 mi) Oslo Metro line which runs between Majorstuen and Nordmarka in Oslo,Norway. Operating as Metro Line 1,it is the route with the fewest passengers and the only one still to have level crossings and short station platforms. The line runs mostly through residential areas of detached houses,and the upper parts of the line principally serve the recreational area of Nordmarka. Holmenkollen Station is located close to Holmenkollen National Arena which hosts international Nordic skiing tournaments. Voksenkollen Station is not far from Oslo Vinterpark (Winter) and the Oslo Sommerpark (Summer).

Kjell Borgen was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He served as Minister of Transport and Communications from 1986 to 1988,Minister of Local Government from 1988 to 1989 and again from 1990 to 1992. He served as County Governor of Hedmark from 1993 until his death.
MX3000 is an electric train used on Oslo Metro in Oslo,Norway. The multiple units are produced by Siemens Mobility,who started serial delivery in 2007. Seventy-eight three-car units were ordered by Sporveien,and five by Akershus County Municipality. They replaced the older T1000 and T1300 stock that was used on the Oslo Metro since 1966. By 2010,the last T1000 and T1300 trains had been retired and replaced by 83 three-car units. 32 additional sets were ordered,and the final train set was delivered in 2014,increasing the fleet to 115 units.
Raymond Johansen is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He served as Governing Mayor of Oslo from 2015 to 2023. A former member of the Socialist Left Party,Johansen previously served as the Oslo city commissioner for transport and environment from 1992 to 1995,when his party withdrew from the city cabinet. After joining Labour,he served as the party secretary from 2009 to 2015.
Holstein is a station on the Sognsvann Line of the Oslo Metro in Norway. The station is located between Kringsjåand Østhorn stations. Holstein was opened during the Second World War,in 1941. Formerly Nordberg was the next southbound station,but it was closed in 1992,at the same time as Holstein was re-built with longer platforms and new ticket machines. The name Holstein is believed to origin from Schleswig-Holstein in Germany.
Peder Are Nøstvold Jensen is a Norwegian far-right counter-jihad blogger who writes under the pseudonym Fjordman. Jensen wrote anonymously as Fjordman starting in 2005,until he disclosed his identity in 2011. He has been active in the counter-jihad movement,which argues that multiculturalism,particularly Muslim mass immigration,poses an existential threat to Western civilization. He has promoted this belief in a self-published book titled Defeating Eurabia,and stated that "Islam,and all those who practice it,must be totally and physically removed from the entire Western world".
Mazyar Keshvari is an Iranian-born Norwegian former politician for the Progress Party and a convicted felon who is serving two prison sentences for fraud and violent threats. He was elected as a substitute member of the Norwegian parliament for the city of Oslo in 2013,representing the right-wing and anti-immigration Progress Party,and attended parliamentary sessions from 2013 to 2018 as the substitute of the mandate holder Siv Jensen who has been on leave from parliament during her government service. As a politician he was known for taking a hard stance on immigration,calling for a complete ban on further immigration to Norway,a stop to the practice of accepting asylum seekers in Norway,and the deportation of immigrants convicted of crimes. In 2019 he was convicted of aggravated fraud for defrauding the Norwegian parliament and in 2020 he was sentenced to 11 months imprisonment. He left the Norwegian parliament following his indictment in 2018 and also left the Progress Party in October 2019. In 2019 he was also arrested and charged with making violent threats,and he was convicted and sentenced to an additional four months in prison in 2020.
The history of the Oslo Tramway and Oslo Metro in Oslo,Norway,starts in 1875,when Kristiania Sporveisselskab (KSS) opened two horsecar lines through the city centre. In 1894,Kristiania Elektriske Sporvei (KES) built the first electric street tramways,which ran west from the city centre. Within six years,all tramways were electric. The city council established Kristiania Kommunale Sporveie (KKS) in 1899,which built three lines before it was sold to KSS six years later. Both KSS and KES were taken over by the municipality in 1924,becoming Oslo Sporveier. The company gradually expanded the city tram network,which reached its peak length in 1939.

Kjærlighetskarusellen is a public urinal in Oslo,Norway,built in 1937. It is located in Stensparken park in the neighborhood of Fagerborg,St. Hanshaugen borough. The urinal,built in a functionalist style,was used as a meeting place for homosexual men,in a time when homosexuality was both socially unacceptable and illegal in Norway. Its reputation as a place for gay cruising,combined with its round shape,gave it its nickname. Other nicknames included "The Wheel of Fortune","The Round Barrel," "The Mushroom" and "The Umbrella". In 2009,it was declared a Cultural Heritage Site for its place in Norwegian sanitary history.
