The Mayor of Oslo is the chief executive of the Oslo. The Mayor's office administers all city services, public property, most public agencies, and enforces all city and state laws within Oslo city.

The building is located in the city center, in the northern part of the Pipervika neighbourhood, and it faces Oslofjord.

Strinda is a former municipality in the old Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The 144-square-kilometre (56 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1964. The municipality encompassed the eastern part of what is now the municipality of Trondheim south and east of the main city center all the way southeast to the lake Jonsvatnet, and it originally included what is now the municipality of Malvik. The western part of the municipality was heavily urbanized, while the areas further east and south were more suburban. The administrative centre was actually located in the neighboring city of Trondheim, just across the Nidelva river on the Kjøpmansgata road.

Ruter AS is the public transport authority for Oslo and Akershus counties in Norway. Formally a limited company – 60% of its shares are owned by the Oslo county municipality and 40% by that of Viken – it is responsible for the administration, funding, and marketing of public transport in the two counties, including buses, the Oslo Metro, Oslo Trams, and ferry services. Ruter also holds agreements with Entur concerning the regulation of fares on local and regional train services operated within the two counties.

Akershus County Municipality was the regional governing administration of the old Akershus county in Norway. The county municipality was established in its most recent form on 1 January 1976 when the law was changed to allow elected county councils in Norway. The county municipality was dissolved on 1 January 2020, when Akershus was merged with the neighboring counties of Buskerud and Østfold, creating the new Viken county which is led by the Viken County Municipality. The administrative seat is located in Oslo and the county mayor was Anette Solli. On 1 January 2024, Akershus will be re-established as an independent county with expanded borders due to municipal amalgamations in 2020, which will not be reversed.

Oslo District Court is a district court located in Oslo, Norway. This court is based at the Oslo Courthouse in the city of Oslo. The court serves the entire city of Oslo and the court is subordinate to the Borgarting Court of Appeal. As the largest district court in Norway, it handles about 20% of all cases in the country. The court handled 3,000 criminal and 2,200 civil cases, as well as 7,200 summary proceedings in 2007.

Laksevåg is a former municipality in the old Hordaland county in Norway. The 32-square-kilometre (12 sq mi) municipality was located on the western part of the Bergen Peninsula. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Loddefjord. The municipality, which existed from 1918 until 1972, was a located a short distance west of the city of Bergen, and today it makes up the borough of Laksevåg which is part of the city of Bergen in Bergen Municipality which is now in Vestland county. The municipality was located along the Byfjorden, north of the Grimstadfjorden, and west of the Fyllingsdalen valley.

The 1914 Jubilee Exhibition took place in Kristiania, Norway, from May 5 to October 11, 1914. It marked the centennial anniversary of the 1814 constitution and focused on industry and agriculture. The main location was the grounds of Frogner Manor, in addition to a subsection on shipping at Skarpsno at Frognerkilen. The exhibition opened on 15 May, and was closed on 11 October 1914. The total number of visitors was more than 1.5 million. On 11 October, the final day, more than 100,000 visitors visited the exhibition.

Lan Marie Nguyen Berg is a Norwegian politician from the Green Party. She currently serves as an MP for Oslo since 2021 and as one of the party's deputy leaders since 2022. Berg previously served as Oslo City Commissioner for transport and the environment from 2015 to 2021, when she resigned following a confidence vote.
