The Faculty of Law (Slovene : Pravna fakulteta, PF) in Maribor is a member of the University of Maribor. It was founded in 1960 as a higher law school for education of lawyers in commercial entities. In 1990 it was re-established as a high law school in Maribor with a programme for education of lawyers of universal profile. Since 1993 its official name is Faculty of Law. In 2009 it started with internationally comparable Bologna programmes.
The research priority of the Faculty of Law is "Legal Aspects of the Digital Economy". The research work at the Faculty of Law is organised within applied research institutes and a research group at the faculty level. The research group is publicly financed by Slovenian Research Agency. [1] Researchers are also involved in research within EU financed programmes like Civil Justice/JustT, Jean Monnet, and TEMPUS.

József Györkös is a Slovenian university professor and former politician. He graduated from the University of Maribor and has a PhD in computer science. He is part time professor at that university, with a research interest in the information society and media convergence. For several years Györkös was a state secretary in the government of Republic of Slovenia. He grew up as a member of the Hungarian community in the multicultural environment of the city of Lendava/Lendva, Slovenia. From November 1, 2014, to October 29, 2019, he was Director of the Slovenian Research Agency (ARRS), and acting Director from 30 October 2019 to 29 April 2020.

The Faculty of Organisation Studies in Novo Mesto is an independent (private) faculty, in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. The Faculty of Organisation Studies in Novo Mesto holds ISO standards ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001. In 2015, the Faculty was recognised by the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia for its efforts in the field of personal data protection.
Jurij Toplak is a constitutional scholar, university administrator, election law, and human rights expert. He is professor at University of Maribor and the head of the Cultural Formations research group at the Alma Mater Europaea University, and recurring visiting professor at the Fordham University School of Law in New York. Since 2016, he has served as the provost and vice-president of the Alma Mater Europaea university. The Washington Post, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The New York Times, and The Boston Globe published his legal comments. Toplak is a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and serves as the co-chair of the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL) Freedom of Expression research group.
Slavko Vesenjak is a Slovenian lawyer. He is the author of scientific articles and a lecturer. He has represented several high-profile cases before the Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights. He was a member of the National Electoral Commission.
The Studenci Footbridge is a footbridge crossing the Drava river in Maribor, northeastern Slovenia. It is the smallest bridge on the Drava in Maribor, and connects Studenci on the right bank with Lent on the left bank.
