The Fairfield Stags women's basketball team is the basketball team that represents Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut and competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference of NCAA Division I. [2]
Fairfield began play in 1973, with the first varsity season being in 1974, and the first Division I season being in 1981. They have won the MAAC title in 1988, 1991, and 1998, with regular season titles in 1990, 1991

The Patriot League is a collegiate athletic conference comprising private institutions of higher education and two United States service academies based in the Northeastern United States. It was announced on October 23, 2023 that Sacred Heart University and Merrimack College will join the conference beginning in the 2024-25 season.

The Stags play their home games in the 3,500 seat Leo D. Mahoney Arena on campus. The team is currently coached by Chris Casey, his first year at the helm.
Sydney Johnson was an American college basketball coach and a current assistant coach for the Chicago Sky. He had coached 3x3 basketball for USA Basketball. He has previously served as a head coach for the Fairfield Stags men's basketball from 2011 to 2021 and Princeton University from 2007 to 2011 where he led the Princeton Tigers men's basketball team to the 2011 Ivy League Title and the 2011 NCAA tournament. He has also been an assistant for Georgetown and Air Force. A 1997 Princeton alumnus, Johnson played for the Tigers from 1993 to 1997.
Joe DeSantis is the color commentator for the radio and TV broadcasts of Fairfield Stags men's basketball and is a member of the New England Basketball Hall of Fame. He was the second longest tenured head men's basketball coach at Quinnipiac University.
The Fairfield Stags men's lacrosse team represents Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut and competes in the Colonial Athletic Association of NCAA Division I. The Stags have won eight regular season conference titles since 1996 and competed in the NCAA Division I men's lacrosse tournament in 2002 and 2005. The Stags play their home games at the new lacrosse-only Rafferty Stadium.
The Fairfield Stags baseball team is the college baseball team representing Fairfield University located in Fairfield, Connecticut. Fairfield competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) of NCAA Division I and plays their home games at the Alumni Baseball Diamond on the campus of Fairfield University. The Stags were MAAC Champions in 1983, 1991, 1993 and 2016. Fairfield is currently coached by 3 time America East Coach of the Year and 2 time MAAC Coach of the Year Bill Currier.
David Edward Wojcik is an American basketball coach who is currently head boys' basketball coach at the Linsly School. He previously was a college basketball coach, most recently head men's basketball coach at San Jose State from 2013 to 2017.
The Central Arkansas Sugar Bears basketball team is the women's basketball team that represents the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) in Conway, Arkansas. The Sugar Bears compete in the ASUN Conference. They completed a 15-season tenure in the Southland Conference in 2020–21. The Sugar Bears are coached by Tony Kemper.

Conference play started in January and concluded on March 15, 2018. This was the 37th season of MAAC basketball.
The 2021–22 Fairfield Stags women's basketball team represented Fairfield University in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Stags, led by fifteenth-year head coach Joe Frager, played their home games at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 25–7, 19–1 in MAAC play to win MACC regular and tournament titles. They received an automatic mid to the NCAA women's basketball tournament where they lost to Texas in the first round.
