Fake Number, also referred to as FKN, was a Brazilian pop punk band which reached fame in the mid- to late 2000s.
Fake Number was formed in March 2006 [1] in the city of Lorena, São Paulo by vocalist and sole female member Elektra, guitarist Pinguim (who was, alongside Elektra, the only founding member to remain in all of the group's line-ups), drummer Tony and bassist Mark, with second guitarist Gabriel ("Gah") joining some months later. Citing Charlie Brown Jr., Blink-182 and Paramore as major influences, their first release was the single "Segredos que Guardei" in 2007; pre-produced by Lampadinha, who previously worked with Charlie Brown Jr. and CPM 22, a music video for it was made, featuring a guest appearance by famous blogger MariMoon. [2] Catching the attention of label Urubuz Records, they would release soon after their debut album Cinco Faces de um Segredo. In 2009, they were chosen the "Best Brazilian Band of 2008" by Zona Punk. [3]
2010 saw the release of their second, self-titled album; produced by Rick Bonadio, it was one of the most downloaded of the year. [4] In 2011 they underwent major line-up changes, with Gah, Tony and Mark leaving the band, being replaced by bassist Marcus Maia and drummer André Mattera. The same year they opened shows for Paramore's Brand New Eyes World Tour in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, following a petition which reached over 7,000 signatures, and also covered Rebecca Black's song "Friday" to celebrate their 5th anniversary. [5] Later that year, their song "Primeira Lembrança" was nominated for the MTV Video Music Brazil award, in the "Hit of the Year" category through popular voting.
In 2012 they released their third and ultimately final album, Contra o Tempo; a music video was made for its single "Último Trem", which counted with guest appearances by sixteen bands, including NX Zero, Fresno, Hateen, Strike, Scracho and Rancore. [6] [7]
In April 2014 they took part in the first season of Rede Globo's reality show Superstar , performing a cover of Roberto Carlos' "O Portão"; however, they were eliminated following the first week.
In November 2014 the band announced through their Facebook page they would be splitting up. [8]

Charlie Brown Jr. was a Brazilian rock band from Santos, São Paulo. The group was popular with disadvantaged youth because of their relatable commentary about social issues and the frequent use of skate punk and hip hop slang in their songs. The band won two Latin Grammy Awards and was one of the most-popular Brazilian bands of the late 1990s to mid-2000s.
Massacration is a fictional heavy metal band created by Brazilian humorists and musicians Bruno Sutter, Fausto Fanti, Marco Antônio Alves, Adriano Silva and Felipe Torres, all of them part of the comedy troupe Hermes & Renato. Heavily influenced by the similar semi-fictional metal act Spinal Tap and self-styled as "a banda da galera", Massacration is a light-hearted parody of heavy metal subculture and "metalhead/headbanger" stereotypes, lampooning the music and aesthetics of such famous metal bands as Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Manowar, Sepultura, Angra, among others. The band's music features humorous lyrics written in a combination of intentionally broken English and Portuguese, sung in an exaggerated falsetto by Sutter.

Billed as the first part of the soundtrack of the film O Magnata, written and co-produced by vocalist Chorão, and serving as somewhat of a concept album inspired by key events of the film, it counted with guest appearances by bands and artists such as MV Bill, João Gordo, Paranormal Attack, Forfun, Sacramento MCs and Markon Lobotomia.

Recorded at a gig at entertainment space Expresso Brasil on June 29, 2007, in São Paulo, promoting the release of their then-upcoming album Ritmo, Ritual e Responsa, it was the band's final release through EMI and counted with guest appearances by rapper MV Bill and pop punk band Forfun.

Formed in 2001 by friends Miguel, Gesta, Faucom and Dedeco, they initially began the project just to "amuse themselves"; their name, "Dibob", is a contraction of the Portuguese-language expression "de bobeira", meaning "goofing off". Titãs Trio Acústico is the sixteenth studio album by Brazilian rock band Titãs Released throughout 2020 by the BMG label, the EPs bring together acoustic versions of a total of 24 songs previously released by the group. Initially divided into three EPs throughout 2020, the disc won a full version on January 29, 2021, also on a physical double CD, bringing together the 24 tracks from the three EPs.
O Terno is a Brazilian rock band from São Paulo, consisting of singer-songwriter Tim Bernardes, bassist Guilherme D'Almeida and drummer Gabriel Basile. Formed in 2009, the trio began performing covers of songs by Os Mutantes, The Beatles and The Kinks before releasing original music. The band is considered a fixture of the contemporary Brazilian independent music scene, being one of the founders of the independent music label Selo RISCO. On 29 April 2024, the band announced an indefinite hiatus after their farewell show in Porto, Portugal, on 21 November.
