Fam Kristina Ekman (born 6 October 1946) is a Swedish-Norwegian children's writer and illustrator.
She was born in Stockholm, Sweden, to actors Hasse Ekman and Eva Henning, and moved to Oslo in 1954. [1] [2]
She made her literary début in 1969 with Det kan hända. [2] Her literary breakthrough was Hva skal vi gjøre med lille Jill? from 1976. [1] She was awarded the Norwegian Critics Prize for the year's best children's or youth's literature in 2007, for Kall meg onkel Alf. [3] [4]
She has received several prizes for her art work, [1] and is represented in the Norwegian National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design. [2]
The Norwegian Critics Prize for Literature is awarded by the Norwegian Literature Critics' Association and has been awarded every year since 1950. The prize is presented to a Norwegian author for a literary work as agreed to among the members of the Norwegian Literature Critics' Association. Since 1978 the Norwegian Literature Critics' Association has also awarded a prize for the best work of children's literature. In 2003 the Critics Prize for the year's best work of translation was established, and in 2012 the Critics Prize for the year's best work of nonfiction for adults was established. Inger Hagerup was a Norwegian writer, playwright and poet. She is considered one of the greatest Norwegian poets of the 20th century.
Grethe Kausland was a Norwegian singer, performer and actress. As a child star she was one of Norway's most popular singers, and she participated in several films as a child. She represented Norway in the 1972 Eurovision Song Contest, singing "Småting" with Benny Borg. From 1973 she performed regularly with the entertaining group Dizzie Tunes. Awarded "Spellemannprisen" 1978 for the album A Taste of Grethe Kausland, and "Leonardstatuetten" 1991 for her achievements on the revue scene.
Øystein Lønn was a Norwegian writer. He made his literary debut in 1966 with the short stories Prosesjonen, and followed up with the novel Kontinentene in 1967. He remained a relatively unknown writer until the 1990s, when he received several literary awards. Lønn died on 10 January 2022, at the age of 85.
