Fangs! is the fourth studio album from experimental rock band Falling Up. It was released on March 24, 2009 through BEC Recordings. Unlike the band's previous work, Fangs! is a science fiction concept album. [2]
Falling Up announced Fangs! in August 2008, recorded from September through November, and completed the album around late 2008. The material for the album was written during early and mid-2008. Album updates were announced via the band's MySpace blogs and official YouTube channel [3] randomly during 2008.
On January 23, the band's official MySpace profile was changed to reflect the new album's artwork and style. The band added a new song, entitled "Streams of Woe at Acheron", to their Myspace profile on January 22 and announced the album pre-order on January 27. There were three pre-order choices, each consisting of the physical album and either band signatures or a t-shirt and plastic "fangs".
On March 4, Jesus Freak Hideout posted an album "PReview", which consisted of 20-second clips of every main track and a review, including track lengths. [2]
On March 6, Falling Up posted a new song from the album, called "Goddess of the Dayspring, Am I", on their Myspace page. The track lengths for the version posted Falling Up's Myspace and the one reported by Jesus Freak Hideout are, for no known reason, different.
On March 13, Amazon posted Fangs! for pre-order via MP3 download, which included extended 30-second previews of each song. This posting confirmed that "Goddess of the Dayspring, Am I" has a song length of 4:31.
The album contains twelve songs and five transitional tracks that are not numbered. [4] The transitional tracks are part of the songs they're listed before or after, more as introductions or lead-outs than anything. "Panic and Geo-Primaries" contains the chorus and main theme from "Arch to Achilles" on the band's earlier album, Captiva .

Starflyer 59 is an American alternative rock band from Riverside, California that was founded in 1993 by Jason Martin, brother of Ronnie Martin of Joy Electric. Falling Up was an American rock band from Albany, Oregon. Falling Up formed in October 2001 and released their debut album Crashings in 2004. They were signed to BEC Recordings in 2003 after a recommendation from friends in the band Kutless. Their lyrics were heavily inspired by their conundrums with spirituality.
Relient K is an American rock band formed in 1998 in Canton, Ohio, by Matt Thiessen, Matt Hoopes, and Brian Pittman during their third year in high school and time at Malone University. The band is named after guitarist Hoopes' automobile, a Plymouth Reliant K car, with the spelling intentionally altered to avoid trademark infringement over the Reliant name. The group is known for its Christian rock, alternative Christian rock, and contemporary Christian music.

Surf Goddess is an EP by the American punk rock band the Queers, released in February 1995 by Lookout! Records. It marked the return of longtime drummer Hugh O'Neill to the band, after a forced leave of absence to deal with heroin addiction. Former Screeching Weasel member Dan Vapid, who had been a member of the Queers in 1994, played on the EP as a guest guitarist. Surf Goddess was the result of band leader Joe King and Lookout! head Larry Livermore being dissatisfied with the production techniques on the band's prior album, 1994's Beat Off, which producer Ben Weasel had insisted on keeping basic. King and Livermore wanted to incorporate overdubbing and other effects which Livermore felt were essential to the Queers' sound. In addition to the title track, which was co-written by Weasel, and the Queers original "Quit Talkin'", the EP includes cover versions of Tommy James and the Shondells's "Mirage" and the Undertones' "Get Over You".
This Beautiful Republic was an American Christian rock band signed to ForeFront Records in November 2006. They are best known for their song "Right Now". The group appeared on the Christian television show The Logan Show on December 9, 2006. The band ended in 2011 after releasing a three-song EP of covers that had been recorded before their lead singer left in 2009.

ShineBright is a Christian rock band from Orrville, Ohio. They were on the BEC Recordings label, which they released their first studio album on July 23, 2013 entitled Dreamers.
