Fastlane were an English rock band, that emerged from the Surrey rock scene in 1997.

In 2002, the band reformed with a slightly different line-up: Benji singing, Matty and Biffen playing Guitar, Tom Marsden playing Bass, and Dan Ranson playing drums. During the summer of 2002, Fastlane self-released their debut EP ‘She Loves the Rock’ and was picked up by 20 Deck Records, where they were soon on the road touring and playing to audiences across the country. Another line-up change and an original member return, Ian Maynard picked up the bass as Tom left the band. Fastlane grew as they gained over 20,000 downloads on the former website MP3.com [ citation needed ] in under 12 months. 2003 found Fastlane making the final line-up change, when Gary Tough joined as the drummer. In reviews, Fastlane's genre has been listed as pop punk, emo, screamo, pop, and metal. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

In March 2004, Fastlane entered the studio to record their first full-length album titled New Start with the producer Iain Wetherell, at the Premier Studios in Corby. They played shows in multiple cities in England promoting their upcoming release, and in the latter part of 2004, the album was finished. [7] New Start included the songs, "Eyes Closed", "Elevator", "A New Start", "Million Times" and the single "Dreaming". The album was released on Suckapunch Records in the UK in 2005, [8] and Pyropit Records in Japan later that year. [9] It was distributed in HMV, Tower Records, Virgin Megastores, Tesco, and Amazon.

In 2005, Fastlane commenced their headline national tour even adding dates in Scotland and Wales. [10] In addition to their headline tour, they supported other UK tours including New Found Glory, Silverstein, Gratitude, Avenged Sevenfold, Zebrahead, The Academy Is, Aiden, 4Ft Fingers, Spunge, and My Awesome Compilation.

2006 began with another headline tour for Fastlane and in addition supporting tours of bands such as Aiden, Hidden in Plain View, Funeral for a Friend, and Fightstar. During the summer, Fastlane returned to the studio to record their second album, Overdrive , with producer John Mitchell at Outhouse Studios in Reading. The album was released by Pyropit Records in Japan during October 2006, and was followed with an international tour when Fastlane flew to Tokyo promoted it. [11] Pyropit Records, an indie record company in Japan joined forces with Kick Rock Music to create a tour for Fastlane and three American bands; The Swellers, The Space Pimps, and Better Luck Next Time. [12] They sold out venues such as The Club Quattro and ACB in Tokyo with a capacity of 500+ people, and conducted in-stores at Tower Records in Shibuya, Tokyo. [13]

Since MP3.com closed, Fastlane have uploaded music on both Purevolume, where they have over 26,000 plays, [14] and Myspace.com where they have over 130,000 plays. [15] Overdrive was released on Punktastic Recordings in the UK on 7 May 2007. The band split up following its release.

They are well known for their energetic and involving live performances, and have won several awards including "Best Live Band" at the 2011 UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards and the "Devotion Award" at the 2011 Kerrang! Awards.

Enter Shikari British rock band

Enter Shikari are a British rock band formed in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England in 1999 by bassist Chris Batten, lead vocalist and keyboardist Rou Reynolds, and drummer Rob Rolfe. In 2003, guitarist Rory Clewlow joined the band to complete its current lineup, and it adopted its current name. In 2006, they performed to a growing fanbase at Download Festival as well as a sold-out concert at the London Astoria. Their debut studio album, Take to the Skies, was released in 2007 and reached number 4 in the Official UK Album Chart, and has since been certified gold in the UK. Their second, Common Dreads, was released in 2009 and debuted on the UK Albums Chart at number 16; while their third, A Flash Flood of Colour, was released in 2012 and debuted on the chart at number 4. Both have since been certified silver in the UK. The band spent a considerable amount of time supporting the latter release through the A Flash Flood of Colour World Tour, before beginning work on a fourth studio album, The Mindsweep, which was released in 2015. Their fifth studio album The Spark was released in 2017. Their sixth album Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible was released in April 2020.

You Me at Six English rock band

You Me at Six are an English rock band from Weybridge, Surrey. Formed in 2004, the group achieved success in 2008 with the release of their debut album, Take Off Your Colours, which included the singles "Save It for the Bedroom", "Finders Keepers" and "Kiss and Tell", with the latter two peaking at number 33 and number 42 respectively in the UK Singles Chart. Their second album Hold Me Down (2010) debuted at number 5 in the UK, while third album Sinners Never Sleep (2011) peaked at number 3, was certified Gold, and spawned the band's fifth top 50 single "Loverboy".

Hitechjet were an English rock band from Uxbridge, London, formed in 2001. Hitechjet released one mini album "If you take anything..." and one full-length album "600 miles from..." through In At The Deep End Records. Hitechjet has been on hiatus since 2006 except for two shows in July 2012.

Futures were a four-piece rock band from Buckinghamshire, England. Futures received modest reviews and a smattering of fans whilst remaining unsigned with their debut Mini Album, The Holiday. The band were signed to self made label, Indigo, after leaving Major Label Mercury Records in April 2012.

Turbowolf is an English rock band founded in Bristol, whose members include Chris Georgiadis, Andy Ghosh (guitar), Lianna Lee Davies and Blake Davies (drums). Their first album, Turbowolf, was released on 11 November 2011 on Hassle Records.

Marmozets are an English rock band from Bingley, West Yorkshire, England. Formed in 2007, the band consists of Rebecca "Becca" Macintyre (vocals), Jack Bottomley (guitar), Sam Macintyre (guitar/vocals), Will Bottomley (bass/vocals) and Josh Macintyre (drums). Marmozets signed to Roadrunner Records in October 2013 and released their debut album on 29 September 2014. Their second album, Knowing What You Know Now, was released on 26 January 2018.

Tigress (band)

Tigress are a British rock band from Chelmsford, England. Formed in September 2015, the band consists of vocalist Katy Jackson, guitarists Tom Harrison and Sean Bishop, bassist Jack Divey and drummer Josh Coombes. The band is currently signed to Humble Angel Records. They were previously signed to LAB Records where they released their debut EP Human on 13 November 2015, follow up EP Like It Is on 12 May 2017 and 2018 EP Who Cares. All three releases were met with much acclaim across a number of major and independent music publications.
