It lists more than 1.5 million scholarship opportunities. [2]

Fastweb is an acronym for "financial aid search through the web". [3]

History

The website was launched by Larry Organ in May 1995. [3]

In 2001, Fastweb was acquired by TMP Worldwide, which added it to its Monster.com division. [4] [5]

In September 2024, Monster merged with CareerBuilder, and funds managed by Apollo Global Management became the majority owner of the website. This acquisition included Fastweb.com. [6]

On June 24, 2025, CareerBuilder + Monster filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in an effort to facilitate a sale of its job board operations to JobGet. Fastweb.com is to be sold to Canadian media company Valnet. The company listed assets between $50 million and $100 million, and liabilities between $100 million and $500 million. [7] [8]
