Father Saturnino Urios University (Latin : Pater Saturnino Urios Universitas[ citation needed ]; Filipino : Pamantasang Padre Saturnino Urios), also referred to by its acronym FSUU, is a private Roman Catholic coeducational basic and higher education institution run by the Diocese of Butuan in Butuan, Philippines. It offers preschool, elementary, junior & senior high school and college (undergraduate and graduate) courses. [2] It was founded by Father Saturnino Urios, SJ, a Spanish Jesuit missionary in 1901.
The school is named in honor of its founder Father Saturnino Urios, SJ, a Spanish Jesuit missionary who led the establishment of the institution in 1901. In 2006, then Urios College was elevated into a university. On June 30, 2008, the elementary and high school departments moved to a new campus (Morelos Campus) in Brgy. Libertad. The institution complies with the K-12 program of the Philippine government. [3]

Agusan del Norte, officially the Province of Agusan del Norte, is a province in the Caraga region of the Philippines. Its de jure capital is the city of Cabadbaran with several government offices located in the highly-urbanized city of Butuan, which is the largest city and its de facto capital as well as the regional center of Caraga Region. It is bordered on the northwest by Butuan Bay; northeast by Surigao del Norte; mid-east by Surigao del Sur; southeast by Agusan del Sur, and southwest by Misamis Oriental.
Agusan del Sur, officially the Province of Agusan del Sur, is a province in Caraga region, Mindanao, Philippines. Its capital is the municipality of Prosperidad. The Philippine Science High School - Caraga Region Campus (PSHS-CRC) is the 13th campus of the Philippine Science High School System located at Brgy. Ampayon, Butuan. The school admits and grants scholarships to students who are gifted in science and mathematics. It caters to scholars from Caraga which covers the provinces of Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Agusan del Norte, and Agusan del Sur. Some scholars come from nearby provinces of Region X. A few from other regions of the country. The PSHS-CRC formally opened in June 2014.
The Wawa River is a river located in Caraga, in northeastern Mindanao, in the southern Philippine island. Its headwaters traverse the municipality of Sibagat, Bayugan, and Esperanza. The Wawa River is a tributary of the larger Agusan River.
Maria Angelica Rosedell Malbas Amante-Matba, is a Filipino registered nurse and politician currently serving as the governor of Agusan del Norte, a position she previously held from 1995 to 2004 and from 2013 to 2019. She was also a member of the House of Representatives of the Philippines representing Agusan del Norte's 2nd congressional district.
Agusan del Norte's 2nd congressional district is a congressional district for the House of Representatives of the Philippines in the province of Agusan del Norte. It is one of only two districts in the province in existence since 1987. The district consists of two noncontiguous parts bordering Butuan Bay with the 1st district situated between the two. The northern portion covers the city of Cabadbaran and the municipalities of Jabonga, Kitcharao, Magallanes, Remedios T. Romualdez, Santiago and Tubay, while the municipalities of Buenavista, Carmen and Nasipit comprise its western section. It is currently represented in the 19th Congress by Dale Corvera of the Lakas–CMD.
