Abu Saleh Mohammad NasimBir Bikrom is a former Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army. In 1996, he attempted a military coup of the caretaker government which was preparing for general elections. After failure of the coup in 1996, he was arrested, placed under house arrest, and subsequently dismissed from service. That year, the Awami League was elected to power in the government. It reverted Nasim's dismissal from the military and later provided him with an honorable discharge.

William Maurice Brown (1910–1974) was the first principal of Faujdarhat Cadet College, one of the 12 Cadet Colleges of Bangladesh. He was then a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the New Zealand Army. He was a recipient of Britain's Order of British Empire, and an observer of the United Nations.
Military high school is a type of high school that includes military cadet education and so are a form of military academy. They are found in several countries and offer a regular high school education but with an extra military training curriculum. For example, cadets must rise early and do physical training to be followed by games in the afternoon. However, in the same way as a high or secondary school, they have academic classes after breakfast. In the evening, there may be self-study classes. Gowher Rizvi is a Bangladeshi historian, scholar and academic. He is a former international affairs adviser to the prime minister of Bangladesh. Prior to that he was a MacArthur Fellow in international relations at Nuffield College, Oxford University. He was an editor of Contemporary South Asia and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. Major Rawshan Yazdani Bhuiyan was a Bangladeshi freedom fighter. He was accused by the Government of Bangladesh of taking part in the assassination of president Ziaur Rahman and was hanged in 1981.

Prior to join BIISS, he was senior directing staff at the National Defense College. Earlier, he was commandant, Bangladesh Ordnance Factories (BOF) and the director general of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party. He also served as the chairman of Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank.
Vice Admiral Mohammad Moyeenul Haque, NBP, NPP, nswc, psc is a retired officer of the Bangladesh Navy. His last appointment before retirement was the Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Materiel) ACNS(M). Prior that he worked as a Senior Directing Staff (Navy) at the National Defence College. He took over the command of Commodore Superintendent Dockyard in February 2017. Before that he was the General Manager at Dockyard & Engineering Works (DEW), Narayanganj.
